I tried on a few helmets at the Milton Keynes store and found the HJC F71 to be a perfect fit for me. I consider the comfort as the most important factor when buying a new helmet. The internal sunvisor switch is located around the bottom edge of the helmet and is easily operated when wearing thicker winter gloves. Field of view is very good and the pinlock visor fitted nicely.
Considering the price point, the construction quality is actually very good. It would have been great for the visor to not rise too much on the first stop as it almost impacts my vison but I can just about manage with that.
It is also easy to open with winter gloves.
The exhaust vents at the top are a little tight to operate with winter gloves but will be easier with thinner summer gloves.
The Matt finish paint quality is good though it may rub off easier that a helmet with a more glossy finish so care is needed with storage and carrying it around.
My wife also tried on this helmet in another colour variant and she found it to be the best fit of the ones she had tried on. So she also bought one of these.
The price at the time was very competitive too which certainly influenced our decision to buy this helmet.

Bought this to replace an LS2 adventure helmet. Before first use i fitted a Bluetooth headset. This was an easy job as it's made for such a fitting, with grooves for wiring and pockets for speakers etc, so worked really well for that. In use this helmet feels very comfortable, seems quiet although I do wear earplugs. The inner tinted visor is particularly good as it comes low down so theres very little annoying light coming underneath as with the LS2. The deep gloss finish looks really good, and the chin skirt keeps the wind out. After being used Arai's for years, i'm very happy with this HJC.

I purchased this after about a dozen 'try and buy'. Really good fit and very quiet. Much better, in my opinion, than many, more expensive helmets. Very happy with the product and the service received at the Milton Keynes branch.

Comparing my experience with this helmet and HJC IS-17 I had.
Pros:
-Lighter
-Quieter
-More comfortable
- More ventilation (its con for me as I don't like wind blowing into face)
- Intercom pockets
- HJC built-in intercom
Cons:
-Fog ups easily
- Visor slider is something need to get used to
- Very noisy if front air vent open
- moisture builds up easily on visor.
Would I recommend buying it?
I would probably look for another model/brand as the fogging up issue is a big deal for me.

Good fit a little large next size to big, tight around the forehead hope it gives a little possiblydue to drop down. Wind noise a bit loader than gtair. Lighter and better drop down sun visor. Good helmet and would recommend hjc. And sportsbikeshop.

Comfort and the tinted internal visor

I tried on quite a few helmets and loved that I was left alone to do this and then given expert advice by the friendly staff.
I have only used this once so far on a chilly but bright March day, super comfy helmet that didn't fog up. I found the internal tinted visor brilliant and easy to operate.
Would recommend this helmet for sure.

I cannot recommend this helmet enough. I ve tried a good number of helmets on before. Some at £90, some at £700 and this is an absolute cracker. It fits really nice and the vent on the front and two on the top work a treat. It feels comfortable without losing the feeling of safety. It has a section to add your intercom and if you buy one when you buy this helmet, sportsbikeshop will fit it for you with speakers and a microphone. I couldn t be happier with my purchase

The service at the Norwich store was faultless. I tried several different helmets, without considering the price. I just wanted a helmet that fitted well and felt comfortable. The F71 was the best for me. I also purchased the HJC 21B intercom, which they fitted there and then.
I've had high end helmets in the past, only to be disappointed with them. This is a quality product.
