Stuck on whether to go full-face or open-face? Flip-overs let you have both in one lid...
I love these helmets. the chin flips all the way over. I ride 90 percent of the time with the chin open. love it.
This was bought for my wife , but she feels its a bit heavy at 1500g
Helmet is really comfortable. I already have 3 other LS2 helmets so I was confident about the shape for fitting. I wanted to try the flip over chin. It's great that the LS2 helmets come with the pinlock visor included. Wind noise wise it seems good and I think the spaces for the intercom earpieces seem slightly deeper than my other LS2s. Really comfy helmet.
I havent used the LS2 brand before but I can safely say it doesnt disappoint. The fit is nice and snug but has given a little after wearing it multiple times. The open face mechanism is smooth and the option to have it as half face is amazing. With its sleek lines and hi-viz not to mention the quietness this is definately a brand Im going to be looking at in the future!
This helmet is perfect for me, light, a fantastic fit and supremely comfortable. It's very quiet, not much wind noise and the coms work well and fit well in the helmet, you also get a standard , a dark visor and pin lock as standard
First time buying a LS Helmet normally go with the HJC. Liked the look of the LS Advant so gave it a go. Really nice fit and comes with 2 visors and pin lock included. Also nice touch of it having its own rucksack to use when out and about as well as a helmet bag. Only been using for a few weeks, but so far so good. Good visibility and fairly quiet compared to my last lid. Overall great helmet at reasonable price. Top marks.
I have worn an open face helmet for years, but thought I'd move to a modular to suit different rides.
I went for small to ensure it was snug. Although it feels fairly tight, especially on the cheeks, it has not been at all uncomfortable during several hours of riding. The front is easily flipped back and forward during riding, and the sun visor flips up and down conveniently via a lever at the side.
I don't feel the ventilation vents make that much difference, although whether they are open or closed, the helmet doesn't get over warm. The buckle can be a bit fiddly to fasten until you get used to it, and I found the visor release buttons quite hard to operate (when fitting the pinlock insert), but I am happy to rate it excellent as a good looking, lightweight, comfortable and versatile helmet, well worth the price tag.
The helmet fits well though being slightly oval shaped, it could be a bit longer front to back. It seems well made, the cushioning is very well put together, the sun visor operates easily and the flip is brilliant. My only criticism is there could be more adjustment in the strap.
Great value and just the job.
OK, so I've moved from a Schuberth C3 so am assessing the Advant in that context. I wanted to get a C5 but it wasn't comfy, and the Advant was. I use it for general riding/blood biking and training.
I find it very comfortable, and love the flip-over face shield. It feels a bit heavier that the C3 but nothing excessive, and certainly not a problem. It is noiser than the C3 but I wouldn't say horrendously so - I always wear ear plugs anyway, and don't feel noise is a prob.
The intercom went in dead easy, too.
In terms of ventilation, the visor insert works fine - no misting. Detents are fine and riding with it cracked open is possible. I can't feel any air coming in the front vent (possibly because of the bike's fairing) but the top vent is very effective at getting air in, although the air doesn't seem to disperse around the skull as well as on the C3.
Sun visor is fine.
All in all I'm very happy with this lid. 22.06 levels of protection and a really competitive price. Sportsbikeshop were excellent as usual, tried on at the Preston store, really helpful staff and the chosen colour lid was delivered to me next day.
Comfortable, lightweight, particularly like the quick release chin strap - no fiddling around with buckles. Not worn on the road yet but good 1st impressions. Good price too.
Super helmet for the price. Recomend trying the fit. I'm a L but found the xl more comfortable. Comes with free pinlock and everything works as it should.. Great service from SBS.
To be totally honest it's not as good as expected. Quite noisy and to me it's slightly small even though I bought the XXXL, yes I have a big head but this size normally fits me.
Two week in and very impressed.
Had the valiant before, the advant is very comfy and quieter than the valiant...I ride a GS with a tall screen, there's no buffeting with or without the chin bar up/down...rode through a couple of heavy down pours with no water ingress...
I'm very satisfied with it. You can feel the quality. I like its matte colour. One thing I don't like. Validating the warranty is very difficult. I've tried several times, and they always reject it. This is not the Sportsbikeshop fault.
Very comfortable helmet, chin strap gets a bit if getting use to, but once you worked it out, it's a great design. Air vents work well, and love the fact you can easily swap the visor. Internal sun visor is easy to use, but I find it does wobble at the bottom a little, if the front visor is open.
It does indeed come with a helmet/ rucksack bag inside.
