Better Cold Cranking Amps

I wanted a battery with better CCA (cold Cranking Amps) and this is exactly that.
Stock battery was 200 CCA and my GS occasionally sounded like it was only just starting, but it always did. Until February 2026, bike was always kept on the optimiser so was always fully charged, but on that day, went to start it, nothing, completely dead.
Put a jump pack on it and it fired up straight away.
Decided to replace the battery and this replacement is bang on. None of the old signs when it sounds like it only just started, this battery fires the bike up first touch every time.
It's only been a month since my purchase but this battery is well on top of the job rather the stock battery which I felt was only just up to it.
SBS had a massive discount on this battery at time so that made my purchase all that much sweeter, thanks SBS.

Bought new yuasa battery for my R12. Battery came at less than 100% capacity (voltage at 12.4 when arrived). Contacted Sportsbikeshop who offered exchange or refund. Battery returned with no quibble and replacement arrived soon after.
Top customer service. Would definitely buy again from them

This is the battery with extra cranking power. My BMW R1200R needs all the oomph it can get on a cold morning and this provides it.

Although this cost more the high compression r1250 boxer engine now turns over much easier with the extra cranking capacity. Got it for a good discount too. Recommended.

Ordered the battery and as soon as it arrived I put it on charge but not on the bike, A day or 2 later, I noticed it was loosing it's charge. Sportsbikeshop replaced it quickly and the 2nd one was delivered and all good. Great customer service as usual from sportsbike shop. You don't really expect to get a duff one with the Yuasa name but I suppose it happens from time to time.

Not only a great product at a great price
Ordered both bikes one and saved very nearly half price
In addition delivery service was exceptional coming over the worst weather (snow) than we’ve had for a while granted 24 hours later than original planned but taking conditions into concideration fantastic response in a time that the midlands came to a standstill.

Retired mechanic, whenever I've needed a new battery for either a Car, Boat or Motorcycle first choice as always been YUASA if I can get one, never had one have any issues.
Recent purchase was for a Harley Davidson, needed a good battery with good CCA for the big twin and one that I knew would last, YUASA was the only choice for me.
SPORTSBIKESHOP had the best prices, best stock and next day delivery, you just can't go wrong.

Cranking a R1250GSA takes a lot out of a battery. My original 5 year old OE battery was struggling. I researched and this Yuasa battery got good reviews. It has the higher 240A (CCA) than very similar looking and similar model number batteries - and that additional cranking power makes all the difference. I can't talk to its longevity but have had many Yuasa batteries in the past and never had an issue. Great service as always from SBS and fast, free delivery.
