Rukka Air Karvik Jacket - Black

Well made and comfortable to wear as expected from Rukka. Not tested airflow yet, but hopefully a huge improvement over my laminated in hot weather. As usual great despatch times from SBS

I have not worn this in anger yet, as it is a summer jacket (written 2 weeks before Christmas). It is always difficult to buy bike clothing online due to the sizing differences however, SBS returns are easy. I ordered a Large size and it fits my 42/44 inch chest with some air to circulate. Usual Rukka quality and style. One star off for not coming with a back protector. Expensive, but worth it if you can push your budget, brought with a Black Friday discount.

Great jacket, sooo good in the hot weather - and even on the colder days the good level of protection means layering up with a waterproof over the top suits my needs perfectly, I’d happily tour in this jacket. I had an older Rukka mesh jacket, this feels more substantial but is just as comfy. Sizing is perfect and quality is spot on.

If you’re looking at this jacket then you already know what it does. Anything over 20 C, with a t-shirt and it’s blissful. I’d recommend getting the Halvarssons waist zip which you can use with any bike trousers/jeans. Zips to the jacket and stops it riding up. The sizing seems off to me, I’m a 46” chest which is a 2XL according to the manufacturer. Tried it on in the shop and it was way too big. Ended up with a Large. It all depends if you’re going to layer up and use it for colder weather. I’d recommend going into the shop and trying on a few sizing options, depending on what suits your needs.
