Scorpion ADF-9000 Air- Feat Black / Orange

Very comfortable, stable at high speeds and the design graphics stand out, drop down visor excellent but stiff to get down.

Bought this helmet to replace a flip front, bought my normal size, however had to return it as it was too small, returns process was simple and refund was made instantly. Went up a size which is a perfect fit, helmet is supremely comfortable, the air fit is an added bonus as I can now get the fit spot on, the helmet also comes with a tinted visor.

I had to go a size up, my regular size was too small. It is a nice fit with lots of features, the shell shape made it awkward to fit an intercom mount. The helmet had a few marks which I only noticed after removing the visor film so couldn't return it, disappointed in this.

It's seriously smart looking helmet and incredible value for money. After watching the really informative review on sportsbikeshop.co.uk I was sold. It arrived and looks even better in the flesh!

Out of many helmets, I decided to buy this one because the price of the helmet is disproportionate to its composite shell, which is only available in premium helmets. It is light on the head, has very efficient ventilation, if you want it to be a quiet snack, you have to seal the neck area, which affects better listening to conversations or music via the intercom. The intercom in my case is the Sena 5S, which I installed the first time in about an hour. Recently, a popular helmet camera mount has been advertised - this one comes with a mounting kit and you don't have to worry about it anymore. The Sun visor will probably hit your nose, that should be fixed, but considering the price and class of the helmet, it's still top-shelf. The most important function is head protection, and these components make it so you have it and it's light because of that. Very good visibility to the blocks and forwards, thanks to the pinlock the lens does not fog up, in recent days the temperature in the UK has been 0 or below degrees Celsius, driving without a balaclava can freeze your face, but the problem disappears when you drive with a balaclava.

When purchasing a new helmet I had a list of requirements. This helmet ticks all the boxes, It is very comfortable to wear and comes with lots of great features.
I also love the colour as it matches my new bike.

After having more premium brands for many years I needed something for a different style of bike .
Tried on many different brands , premium and more budget .
This helmet stood out for the quality and price , great fit too with the airing system .

Scorpion helmet looks excellent fits brilliant with all it's extra features got a good deal on it well worth the money. Delivery next day just brilliant.

Nicely constructed helmet at good price point. Quite a tight fitting out of the box but that helps with the low noise levels. As it beds in I can adjust with the inflatable cheek pads. Great field of view, clear and tinted visors included as plus a pin lock and built in sun visor. My Cardo Freecom 4 clips on fine and speakers/mic easy to route. Very please with purchase from SBS and quick delivery as usual

My hubby brought the same helmet (different colours) and was so pleased with it. When I tried it to compare with my different brand helmet I was amazed by the visibility and had to buy one. Although the helmet is designed more for adventure bikes, I find having the visor, especially when the sun is lower this time of year, to make a difference too. Liftweight and adjustable air pressure makes it extremely comfortable. I wear hearing aids and have no problems or discomfort even with intercom installed. The pearl white is a good stand out colour too. Extremely pleased with the product.

Delivery and service from Sportsbikeshop very efficient. Didn't leave me waiting too long for my purchase.

Days of research and watching YouTube videos narrowed down the options to the Scorpion ADF9000. With years of dual sport African multi country adventure riding,I wanted to get back into it after an 8 year break. Tempting to just buy a premium brand name for double the price and so glad I did not. Measured my head 57cm looked at the size guide M and the Scorpion is a perfect fit. Comfortable | Looks Good | Great with MX Goggles | Pin Lock Visor | Low Noise | Ease of use | Comms cut outs etc | All the boxes ticked

The visor touches the peak which in turn puts 2 huge scratches/grooves into the visor.
SBS returned to the helment to the manufacturer who replaced the visor and put some felt on the inner side of the peak but in time this will wear through.
Also the felt isn't positioned correctly so their remedial work is already a problem.
The visor doesn't seal against the rubber so you have a constant draft, rain droplets make their way in and constant wind noise.
The pump function is a waste of time as the helmet is an adequate fit.
The back of the helmet is cut quite high so rainwater goes down your neck.

The titanium D rings feel rough to the touch. Sets my teeth on edge.

Asked SBS for a refund but was denied. Feel a little let down by SBS.

If you do buy this helmet make sure the visor has enough clearance from the peak and the visor sits flush with the rubber seal.

The Nexx Wed.2 is a better helmet.

I tried on various adventure helmets including the Arai and this was one of the comfiest and best quality helmets with good features for the money. I really wanted to like the Nexx Wed3 but it was noticeably too heavy (1,830g) compared to the ADF (1,667). Off the bike I thought the sun visor didn't come down far enough. It doesn't have the v above the nose and go down on each cheek the same as others but when riding it's really great. Noise is on par with my AGV street helmet and fitting my sena comms was pretty easy. Peak is easily removable. Vibration on the peak only happens when in the worst bit of unstable air from my screen. Field of view is brilliant and only had a little fogging on the very bottom of the visor where the pin lock doesn't cover, which isn't really noticeable until you lift it up past your eye line.

The vents could be a bit better and like some others I found the pinlock impossible to fit without filing the slots for the pins a bit deeper. Without that the lens buckled even when fully housed on each pin. Didn't take much filing with a bit of wet and dry paper but it should fit out the box.

Overall a great helmet and I'm really pleased with it.
