Sometimes it takes ages to discover if something is the real deal – but I came to a much quicker decision with these boots.
Customers generally praised the boots for their comfort, fit, and ability to keep feet dry in wet conditions. Although some found water resistance inconsistent, most customers appreciated the quality and durability. The Velcro fastening received mixed feedback, with some preferring buckles or zips for ease of use. Overall, the boots were regarded as well-made and recommended for their balance of sporty and touring functionality. Some customers mentioned the boots needed breaking in, but once accustomed, they provided excellent support and performance.
Extremely comfy boot straight out the box
Waterproof
Easy to walk in
Good value
Had a full day of hard rain in Scotland. Feet stayed perfectly dry. Spot on product.
The boots are a good fit, I always go up a size and glad I did as they aren’t taking much to break in. All the Velcro (no zips) take a bit of getting used to and I haven’t tried them in the rain yet so don’t know how water resistant they are. Great Sportsbike shop service as always.
Really comfortable and move well with your feet
am very pleased with these boots. I've had Alpinestars boots for several years and they have kept my feet warm and dry. When it was time to replace them I was confident I would get another excellent pair. They are extremely comfortable straight out of the box. I've used them once all day on the bike and they were brilliant. It was about 4 degrees all day and they kept my feet warm and dry. Would highly recommend them. Well made and robust. Good value for money.
Having had no issues with these boots for the last three years and 20k miles riding until they started to let water in. I decided to get another pair. Unfortunately for me one of the boots let more water in than my old pair on their first outing in heavy rain. Have requested a refund until I decide wether to purchase again. I'm ever hopeful it's just a faulty batch
These boots are a good fit and are really comfortable for walking about in. Got caught in the rain kept my feet nice and dry.
Got these to replace a pair of Alpinestars Ridge , but wanted a taller boot than the Ridge.
Reasonably comfortable straight out of the box, and a couple of rides in they are very comfortable.
Went with my normal shoe size, and they fit perfectly.
Haven't tested them in the rain yet, but I'm sure they will keep my feet dry just like the Alpinestars Ridge did.
All in all very happy with them.
Great service from SBS as always
Really comfortable boots and fit nicely under bike jeans. Soft enough for walking with great support when riding as well.
Great service from SBS.
Tried a few pairs of Alpine stars locally and was impressed by the comfort of them , so ordered Radon drystars from Sportsbikeshop , delivered next day ( Sunday) and really like them , haven't been out on my bike because of the weather but walking about these boots feel great.
We went to sbs with the intention to pick up a pair of the richa boots but when walking in them felt like I was walking like a penguin. As soon as I tried these alpinestars on they felt like a pair of slippers. The more I've worn them the better they've got. Kept my feet dry in a big downpour too. Only thing for me to get used to is the fastening been on the outside, 20 years of sidi boots and the fastenings been on the inside of the leg.
These Boots are spot on in size and comfort. Straight out the box the fitted well and very comfortable.
They don't feel cumbersome when riding the bike like a lot of new boots I've had in the past.
The quality of materials in the making of the boot is ace.
Very easy to get on and off and the good thing for me is the velcro fastening is on the outside of the boot so your bike does not get scuffed like it would with an inside of boot fastening.
That was the main decision for me in buying these boots. Secondly was the Alpinestar brand which is noted as a quality brand for motorcycle gear.
I tried on over 20 pairs of boots in the sub £150 category. And these were the best. Not too chunky so you can get your foot under the gear peg. Good quality leather. Really easy and snug fastening with Velcro. No zips. Took about 3 days to break in, they are really comfy now. Lots of padding and protection. Survived some downpours and no water leakage at all. Really great boots. Would strongly recommend!
Good boots on the bike and while walking. Warm and comfortable, easy to put on and take off.
I had to get used to them after wearing light summer boots.
I found them having good grip and being firm when riding while standing on rally pegs.
The materials and finish are of high quality. Boots are light but feel very strong.
Those boots keep rain water away for quite a long time but few ditches, paddles and river crossings later ..' they gave up and soaked. After around 6 hours riding in rain off-road my feet started getting wet. It was also a second day riding, so they get 'primed' a bit the day before, however inside they were still OK. I guess, the second day finished them off as they likely did not dried out completely over night.
As they got soaked, they were drying over two days in the room temperature.
When dry again, I gave them a coat of quality wax and will see how it works.
To be honest, I was expecting those boots, based on the description and reviews to be as what is says on the tin - waterproof. A bit disappointed.
Good enough for short wet days.
Excellent as you'd expect from Alpinestars. Have had many boots from many manufacturers over the years and rate these highly. Fit well for broad feet, strong and sturdy yet allowing for good feel. Reasonable flexibility for the level of protection and warmth. Easy to put on yet secure. All day comfort. Not endured hours of rain yet, but so far so good with remaining waterproof through short deluges. Perfect compromise between a sporty boot and touring, leaning more to comfort. Ordered same size as everyday footwear and they were spot on.
Very comfortable and flexible without being soft, feels like they will wear in nicely, not ridden in wet weather yet but hopefully be dry as claimed
Fantastic boots. I have large calf muscles and finding boots that fit easily is a struggle, well not anymore. These fit so well and easily and are so comfortable to wear, no zips just Velcro straps also they are waterproof. What more do you want. They look more like sportsbike boots than touring boots so should suit everyone.
