Gerbing MicroWirePRO Heated Premium Jacket Liner - Black

Once on the jacket / gloves combination is very warm, but what a palaver. Initially the wires to the gloves were too short. By undoing a knot in the cable you can find more to thread through. Shouldn't there be enough already provided? The button on the jacket controller is too small so if you decide to change the temperature you have to take your gloves off. Surely you should be able to this on the move as you can with the gloves? I also have doubts about the quality of manufacture? Time will tell. With the extra price of the controller, I do not feel this product is good value for money. In retrospect, I would not have bought it.

Good quality smart looking mid jacket which I bought to go with previously purchased gloves. Would have been 5 stars if there was temperature adjustment on jacket. Also agree with other reviews that glove connections aren't long enough for ease of use and connection. Works extremely well but will need the controller as had to keep unplugging as so hot.

I brought the heat jacket to connect the Gerbing heated glove because the loose wire with the gloves was a bit fiddly under my rst jacket and the Gerbing jacket has wires pre fitted for the gloves . The jacket is awesome and the lowest setting is hot 10/10 , the pre fitted wire for the gloves are to short and eventually after a few months one of the connectors stop working ( Gerbing have repaired this under warranty) but fundamentally the wires are to short and it's only a matter of time before the connector break again.

Initially I was impressed with the jacket, it's a good fit and the heat is more more enough for sub zero rides

The problem I have is with the quality, after only a few months of light wear the stitching has opened up on the shoulder and the lining for both arms has shredded at the seams. This 8s the full length of the forearm on both sides. I only ever wear it next to my skin so it hasn't caught on anything.

I've sent it back to Gebing but 2 weeks later and I've heard nothing.

I also bought the gloves, these had to be sent back as they had a hard piece of plastic in the index finger. The metal buckle on the replacement pair has fallen off but I can't be bothered returning them so I've bodged it with a piece of plastic tubing.

I wish I'd have gone for the Keiss kit as Gerbing clearly have a problem with quality control.

This jacket is without doubt the warmest heated bike jacket I have ever had. Definitely hotter than Keis. The heat is all over and I truly don't think you'd ever need or use the hottest setting. It really is hot. You will not feel cold using this jacket.

However it does have some negatives overall I don't feel it's well designed and for me apart from the heat Keis is much better. The fit is odd - it's very long in the body and arms. The power lead in the lower arm to run gloves is ridiculously short it's hard to connect heated gloves as the leads are so short. It's also ridiculous that Gerbing don't include the heat controller which is absolutely essential to have with the jacket and the power leads when that's connected are way too long. The power lead to connect to the battery is also quite rigid and doesn't flex well.

In summary an incredibly hot jacket but poorly designed for bikers.

Much better than the previous jacket in terms of bulk. Easier to wear underneath your jacket.

Luxuriously warm and controllable.

Niggle: when using the duel controller the pocket is nowhere near big enough, but you can put it in the hand pocket.

The remote control is a must to stop the fiddle too.

I bought this just before the current freeze. Needed the short lead extensions though to connect my Gerbing gloves. I would say this is the only criticism as the leads on the arms are too short to connect to. Not sure why Gerbing simply just make these 6 inches longer. Could not see these on SB website so got from Gerbing. Also sent for the controller. This had lots of recommendations and they were right. You cannot control the heat levels easily without the controller however it works very well. The jacket liner is just brilliant. Used everyday through the cold weather last two weeks down to minus 6. Couldn't believe how well it worked probably only had it on 40% too. Would definitely recommend but get the longer leads and controller

Can't fault this jacket. It's my second one, just newer model. The fit is great and it works so well. Brilliant bit of kit

the Jacket heats up quickly and to a very high temp, excellent quality. Controllers are recommended for temp control, which they do well.

As I had already bought the gloves, I bought the liner. what a difference in riding when it's chilly. The gloves attach to a wire in each sleeve. The liner attaches to the main wire to the battery. A y- splitter is needed to have both working at the same time. There is also an extra wire for other heated accessories. Absolutely perfect for my needs. I bought a size s which is equivalent to a ladies 8/10

Bought primarily for an upcoming trip to the Arctic Circle and expectation of a lot of rain and chilly weather. Tested during single figure temperature round North York's Moors. Anything above setting 2 was too warm. Expecting it to be the business for the extremes of Norway. Sizing as described. I'm 6ft and 16st. 48" 3xl, snug fit and perfect for under top layer. Recommend wireless control too. Lot easier to control when on the move. Superb service from Sportsbikeshop again!

Should have bought one sooner. To be able to ride in low temperatures and not have to think about being cold is fantastic.

I've always been a bit mesh but Aldo love to be out on my motorcycle as much as possible. I don't understand why I didn't do this sooner. Jacket fits me -ladies size Xs (size 12) perfectly. I've ridden all day 9 - 6 pm in cool weather in complete 'summer' comfort. Bought with the XR gloves and 3is soooooo toasty I'll never need 4 or 5. I rode today on 1 and it was amazing although warm enough for my normal riding I was able to cut down on layers and feel comfortable.
