Flipfront helmets are among the most practical options on the market. Let us guide you through the best options...
Customers generally find the helmet comfortable, well-made, and quieter than previous models, though not entirely silent. Ventilation and fit receive praise, ensuring a smooth ride even at high speeds. Some encountered occasional issues with water ingress and minor paint defects, but these weren't universal complaints. The larger visor is appreciated for an excellent field of view. While the sun visor and communications units have mixed reviews, the overall quality earns the helmet positive remarks. Despite its premium pricing, customers feel the helmet is a worthwhile investment.
I’m a size 58 and the fit on this helmet is spot on — snug but very comfortable, exactly how it should be. The padding feels well made and supportive without any pressure points. The chin strap is much better positioned than on my old C3 Pro, which makes it noticeably more comfortable on longer rides. I’ve fitted the Sena comms system, and it couldn’t have been simpler — took only a few seconds to slot in and works perfectly. The air vents are easy to operate, even with gloves on, and they provide excellent airflow when things start to warm up. I also like the separate vent for demisting the visor — it clears up quickly and makes early-morning or damp rides much more pleasant. The Globe Grey finish looks fantastic too, really sleek and modern. All in all, a solid upgrade that feels premium in every way.
Purchased as a replacement for my beloved C3 Pro that had sadly come to the end of its life, and this is essentially the same thing dialled up to 11. Super comfy, unbelievably quiet, excellent field of vision, compact, with a really nice clean aerodynamic look. Build quality feels amazing, the fit and finish is far superior to any other helmets I’ve tried in the same price range. Haven’t had it long but in my previous experience Schuberth helmets tend to be extremely sturdy and will easily last the full 5 years with no trouble.
Really comfortable helmet. I moved to this one from a Shark skwal and the difference is mega. Lots of features, nice smooth catches, and feels great. Supposed to be one of the quietest on the market but im not so sure. Didn't really notice much difference.
Feels great. Massive upgrade after AGV. Beautifully finished. Nice and quiet. Con - interior pads removal is extremely over-engineered.
This is the third Schubert I’ve had over a period of 13 years.
Tried lots of alternatives but putting the Schubert on it just felt right. Ventilation & visor are much improved on the C5. Visor shape seals better with rolled edge on the top, positive positioning & easy removal for cleaning. Ventilation works really well. Removed pre fitted speakers, just Velcro attached, & installed my old trusty Twins coms system which works well for satnav/phone mapping which is all I use it for.
Spectacle grooves are much more user friendly than the C3.
All in all very pleased with the C5. Usual excellent service from Sportsbike shop staff. Any thanks.
Rain runs down inside of visor
Excellent quite helmet, had an issue with the cheek pads breaking, and the integrated comms mic not working, got in contact with SBS, had a collection arranged to replace the following day. Usual high standards from SBS
I know it’s all about head shape but this is my first Schubert helmet and I wish I’d tried them years ago. Quality is very obvious and I like the nice wide field of view it provides. Also flipping up the front in the 30 limits during warm weather is a relief. Can be a little noisy at times because of the extra bits but I wear earplugs so not an issue for me.
Really happy with the helmet due to the nice fit and quietness. Have yet to try the build in comm system. The one thing I dislike is that It seems to scratch easily or it's me being a bit careless how I leave it on the ground.
Great product, really comfortable and practical
Great Service by Sportsbikeshop staff, I couldn't get the bluetooth connected, to the items to Reading. The staff were more than happy to help me got the Bluetooth connected within minute sent me on my way.
Lovely looking helmet, chose to match the colour scheme of my R1250GSA. I have a number of different makes of helmets and they are all the same size - except this one. Miles too big and I'm not prepared to keep spending money on alternative foam insert pads. Returned and ordered the next size which luckily fits ok. Good quality but I'm ditching the coms that's pre installed, I already have packtalk pro's and a couple of Sena 60S's, not buying a dedicated unit.
This is an ideal helmet, links to my sat nav and phone. Easy to set up. Not too noisy whilst driving being a
I have had a lot of helmets of the years and NONE have fitted this well straight out of the box. Very comfortable, quiet with good ventilation and visor action. The integrated comms are a must.
Really comfortable, great all round vision, easy to use and headphones etc sound great
Bought this to replace C4 pro quieter, lighter and visor close improved.
I had a small size before but with the new shell shape I took a cos which is perfect. I am 53cms.
It's a premium lid, but is let down by the visor. The latching mechanism is poorly designed making it finicky to get a proper seal, so wind-whistle can be an issue. The front top vent can rattle as well. It's still my daily though, and has maintained it's comfort over 20,000 miles
Purchased this helmet after a bit of research and I am very pleased with it. The noise level is a lot less than my previous helmet and you can feel the quality. The only slight niggle I have is that the internal sun visor could be a bit lower but it works adequately. Not the cheapest helmet out there but you get what you pay for.
I'm afraid not, it is recommended that you use the Schuberth SC2 intercom as this was designed specifically for the Schuberth C5 helmet.
