If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Brought these for my son so he can come out with me very good value for money definitely recommend
I've had many pairs of bike trousers over the years, these are comfortable and have lovely durable ankle zips (which seem to break on every other pair of trousers I've had)
Buy a size up!
Good fit for me and the leg length is spot on.
Haven't been out in rain yet so cannot comment on waterproof.
First pair of textile trousers and really happy with my purchase.
Specification as good as many more expensive brands - removable inner liner and ventilation flaps on the thighs.
Had to go one size up - great fit and not bulky. Good adjustment at the waist and lower leg (sportsbike boots fit nicely inside the leg).
Comfortable both on and off the bike.
Rode in 5 to 11 degrees with liner in place and kept me warm but not too hot.
Knee armour stays in the right place with liner in but they move around a little without the liner.
Not used in the wet yet.
Got them in a 50% sale but I'd say still great value at full price.
Fully recommend.
These have improved my 30 mile commute keeping me warm and dry on colder wet mornings. I usually buy medium but bought large to go over my work trousers and they fit well. I wear a base layer on mornings below 8 degrees otherwise the lining is good. Without the liner the trousers will be too big in summer due to me buying the size up but I'll change back to summer gear and waterproof overtrousers as needed.
On sale at almost half price. Warm, dry and decent quality. True to size
Great items they fit and feel well and they have plenty of pockets.
Really nice quality pair of all weather troursers. Only been in a light shower with them on so far and they where fine as you would expect. There's a couple of vents that let a bit of air flow when it's warm. If you wear anything other than a pair dress troursers under them with the winter layer still in you'll need to go up a size as there's not a lot of room in them. I got L as that's what I usually get. All in a quality pair of troursers for the price.
I purchased these to replace RST trousers that were now to big for me, I have always purchased RST.
Seeing these trousers on sale at ~£66.99 I thought it would be too good to be true however the requirements between these and my RST were the same. Waterproof, thermal, removable liner, vented, armoured and true size (unlike RST trousers), I thought I'd be stupid not to try.
Well, sold. Never did I expect such good quality from cheap trousers.
There were issues with the L2 knee and hip armour being deformed however SBS replaced next day.
5/5
Needed a replacement pair, they looked great value...they are. Well fitted, warm and when ridden in pouring rain, they keep you dry. Knees keep nice and warm with the armour...
These are the first protective trousers I have bought and I'm extremely impressed with how comfortable they are. The Velcro straps around the waist and ankles make a perfect fit. And the removable thermal lining is a great touch.
I was surprised at how good these trousers are for the price point. Seem well made and robust, got hip and knee protection, and they look ok. Haven't used them yet, but can't see any problems.
