Sturdy and solid for what it is. I was surprised when I got it out the packaging because I wasn't expecting the build quality.
Absolutely perfect for me to use on my small 250 (130-150kg), which is lightweight, and works a charm when cleaning and lubricating the chain.
The roller comes with two puck stands, which for me was needed.
I have given it a 5 star as it works great for me, but I am not sure how well it would work on heavier bikes.
Also, if using this its best to use a strap or zip ties to hold the front brake.
This thing is perfect. Really glad I bought it.
I try and keep my bike 'tip top' but we all know that doing the chain march up and down the drive to clean and line the chain is a real pain.
This thing is perfect, roll the bike onto it, get in position and clean your chain. No getting up and moving the bike then getting down again.
It's well made, really solid and also low profile enough that you can store it easily.
Got better results cleaning and lining the chain in about a third of the time it normally takes me.
Highly recommended.
I tried this for back wheel but even with the chocks for the side stand it didn't work well at all. It looked like the stand was being pressed outwards. Under the front wheel it was just dangerous. Don't buy it.
Solves a problem I have had for many (many!) years which have got much worse as I get old..........lubricating a bike which only has a side stands chain.
Excellent quality and no more risky pulling the wheel off the ground on the side stand by pulling the bike over!
Very well made, finish is very good, doesn't move when rolling bike on to it and you don't need any help using it. I am a toolmaker and I don't know how they make it for the price.
Purchased to clean the front wheel on a heavy maxi scooter. You need to brace it against something otherwise it just gets pushed along by the bike. When you finally manage to get it on as others have said it will the bike will move across the rollers. Nice idea but not a lot of use to me. On the flip side it's well made.
So simple to use, easy to store. Appears to be well made. For routine maintenance, it is perfect. A lot safer than a paddock stand when used outside on an uneven surface.
The roller seems quite robust. Very easy to get on the rollers. Good that a raiser pad for kickstand is included. The only downside - sometimes the wheel slides sideways on the rollers. Perhaps the bike needs to be positioned perfectly straight in relation to the roller . Overall very good equipment.
This is just what I needed to enable me to clean and lubricate the chain on my bike, which doesn't have a centre stand. The wheel spinner is sturdy and has rollers with bearings. It is easy to get the bike on to the spinner. I found that the bike tended to move across it as I turned the wheel, but that may just be the way I positioned it. Guess I need a bit more practice. Overall I am very pleased with it.
Quicker and easier to roll the bike up and down the drive.
Well made sturdy bit of kit easy to use makes cleaning chain so much simpler
Wanted a spinner to make bike maintenance and cleaning as easy as possible - and it does!! I looked at several on the market but SBS won the day, excellent pricing including carriage and with me the next day!!
Best way to use this for my 210 kg bike is to roll it forward onto the spinner and then mount it on the centre stand - much easier and visible to do!!
Thank you SBS.
Does the job well for a good price.
Seems sturdy.
Well made constructed of good quality steel and bearing. Works perfect in conjunction with a rear paddock stand. Totally boss !!
I purchased this after realising it was impossible to fit a paddock stand or an Abba stand to my new CMX1100, meaning lubricating the chain was very awkward indeed. Simply roll the back wheel onto the spinner place the side stand riser under the side stand and spin the wheel to lubricate the chain or clean the wheel. A must if you have no other way of raising the wheels from the ground. The construction is solid and the rollers are adjustable to suit different sized wheels. However I didn't need to change the position of the rollers for it to work perfectly with two of my bikes. And it is much easier and quicker to use than a paddock stand.
I've no centre stand on my bike so cleaning the chain and waxing is a real faff on. This little bad boy is great, just roll the back wheel on and clean away in the garage. Makes life much easier. The only downside, if you've got an ADV bike, the 'chunkier' tyre tread can make it a little difficult to rotate, ideally meant for road bike rubber. But for me, I've no space for paddock stands so this is an excellent compromise. Easily sorted away too. Very well built and, as usual, excellent service from Sportsbikeshop :D Cheers!
Simple device to help spin the front wheel for cleaning and checking
The wheel spinner allows either the front or rear wheel to be freely and easily rotated for cleaning and maintenance. The rollers utilise sealed bearings and the distance between them can be adjusted for all wheel sizes.
