Macna Bluetooth Battery Back-up Kit

It’s a huge shame that despite Macna heated clothing being able to be 12v bike powered, its design lacks the thought to make it a seamless solution.
The backup battery does marginally improve the issue. However, its Achilles heel is the need to apply 12v power within 2 seconds of pressing the button on the battery. It’s the inability to press the buttons on the outside of my mid layer through outer layers that’s the problem. Pressing one in the pocket inside is certainly no help. So still the rider is forced to be half undressed out in the cold and rain as the bike is started. Sure, for subsequent mounts and dismounts that day there is no need. But the first ride of the morning, just as you’re in a rush to get somewhere, and you’re faffing around getting cold with your jacket unzipped.
Despite corresponding with Macna, they seem not to grasp the solution is to have an option on future clothing designs that allows them to default to their previous power state upon reconnection.
A shame!
