Keis J601RP UltraFlex Heated Jacket - Black / Red

This jacket is an investment if you ride all year.
I normally buy a medium size but after reading other comments I decided to try a small which fits perfectly and not restrictive in anyway and very comfortable over a t shirt.
Connection to bike was a five minute job and straight forward.
Once plugged in and on the bike I was amazed at how quickly it heats up. It’s comes on at high setting which is very warm. On rides between 7 to 11 degrees so far I found the medium setting would be nice and warm and the low setting probably about right.
You can feel the heat front, back, arms and neck.
Looking forward to using this over winter and I will be probably getting more keis gear.

I have a Rewaco trike, with proper seats, and so when I select 'high' my back gets uncomfortably hot (because there's no wind flow), so I've only used it on the low setting, but thus far (ambient temp has been around 8 - 10), this is not an issue. Also, my seats are heated (kinda like a Goldwing, but better), so my back didn't get cold anyway. Even on low, with a leather over the top, I've not got cold. I recommend this heated jacket for lightweights who don't like the cold, and heavyweights who do like the cold but want to be warm anyway.

No more layering up, one layer is all you need

I'm 6' 2" £ 16 stone - Found the Large fits me about right.

Pros:
Gets very hot, very quickly. On high setting it's been too hot for me so far, although I haven't tested it on a really cold day yet.
Works well.as an under jacket layer with the heating off too.
Appears to be very good quality & well made.

Cons:
With the heat controller attached the connection wire is way too long - goes well past my knee which is unnecessary.
The wiring to the heat controller is twisted, so the on/off control button faces downwards, meaning you can't just glance down to see what setting it's on.
The on/off button is difficult to find & operate with gloves on - it's very small, and doesn't have a positive action.
The indicator lights aren't very big, not very bright.

Would I recommend - possibly, but have a look at comparable items first.

Great heated jacket with a snug fit, ideal for heat transfer. At 6ft with a slim build, the medium size fits well, though it's slightly short in the body and sleeves. Not a dealbreaker, just something to note. Overall, excellent warmth and quality.

Excellent piece of kit. Comfortable & 3 heat settings. A very good investment.

The jacket is good at keeping the cold out first thing in a morning it s easy to control the heat on setting two to heat it up then one to maintain that heat is enough for the moment. The trousers need a separate controller unfortunately that makes the area a bit busy on your left hand side. Overall very good product. I was very dubious about getting Keis again after the first product I bought the inner gloves never worked from day one and Keis wouldn t exchange them.

I highly rate the Keis J601RP, having worn it with just a t shift, the jacket alone without turning on is a great under layer. When on, its incredibly warm. Riding all year round has just become comfortable.

This new 601 jacket is a perfect iteration from the soft shell original 501. Less bulky But Still as effective makes cold weather riding pleasurable.

The sizings are all over the place. I'm 6'4" and 15st and ended up needing a medium!
All sizes medium and smaller appear to be as common as rocking horse poo and apparently there won't be any more until the autumn.
The garment is self is excellent. Top quality. Plug it in set your desired temperature and enjoy your ride even on a chilly day.

This thing gets insanely hot. Which is definitely a good thing, but you will certainly want the controller so you can lower the temperature most of the time. It's a relaxed fit too - I needed to size down and I actually think I could possibly have gone 2 sizes down. Looks good off the bike too, so it's an ideal mid-layer. Top quality.

I've worn it a few times & have been very happy with the warmth & even wearing it without the heat on gives a good level of comfort which makes all the difference in cold weather riding.
Yet to test fully on a long ride to see how long the battery maintains the heat at the different settings but at present very happy with my purchase.
