Customer Product Reviews
Another great Muc-Off product
I used to use this cleaner years ago and buying it again I'm reminded why. I get my bike so shiny clean with this stuff it's unbelievable. Especially in winter with the mud and dirt on the roads, I come out looking like I just bought the bike whenever I've cleaned it.
Made the bike shine like a summers day
Using my bike solidly through the winter at the moment. Bike has been filthy recently. Gave it a wash with soap and a good go over with the Muc Off spray and so much dirt I didn't know was still on the bike all came streaming off. Made the bike shine like a summers day and not sure if it's me but the bike seemed to run smoother afterwards too! Haven't been using it for long enough to give it the full 5 stars. If I end up buying it again it will have them though.
Clean as a whistle, a pink one
This stuff cleans my bike... Well... I use it to clean my bike with... Followed the instructions and was really happy with the results. The finish almost give the impression that I have polished it too, which I guess is the protective layer it leaves behind to repel muck. Was really impressed with how it stripped the grime off my chain and sprockets... Better than the dedicated chain cleaner I was using before. My one concern is that I got through quite a bit of the bottle in one go... Maybe a third of it - but maybe I was just going a bit over the top with the spraying! Excellent service from SportsbikeShop as always. Thanks all.
Easy to apply
Included spray nozzle makes it easy to apply and get to difficult-to-reach spots. Spray top also ensures cleaner can be used sparingly as it's fairly expensive. Applied to bike after a first rinse of bike then used a sponge to work off the dirt, rinsed off again and dried with chammy cloth for nice shiny finish. I have read on some forums that this product contains quite a few salts so ensure it is thoroughly rinsed off after washing bike.
Best stuff I've found so far. Simply wet the bike, spray this stuff on and let it sink in for a few minutes, then spray it off. Done. Some reviews here criticize the absence of a spray top -- that's an issue that seems to have been resolved. My bottle came with a spray top.
Maybe I was expecting too much, but I certainly didn't find I could spray and rinse and end up with a gleaming bike. I think the best way to use it is the same as with most cleaners: focus on an area (say the front wheel), wet it, spray Muc Off, agitate with a good brush, then rinse before it has chance to dry back on. Trying to do the whole bike left me with a load of white water-marks on my black plastic areas, and so far I haven't find anything that will get them off. It's not a bad way to clean a bike, but don't expect miracles.
