Oxford Stormex Bike Cover

Oxford Stormex Bike Cover
Glad I ordered the x-large size as due to the strong knicker elastic used on the open perimeter trim, the fit was snug even on my CBF600. This cover replaced the large size Oxford cover I'd used for the last 9 years which appeared to be the same size as the new x-large but did not have the thick elasticated trim. A stronger product that beads the water away properly and hopefully last as long as the old type cover did. If you are after a cover which will also cover a top box, consider buying the other Oxford option which has the profile for such - this one will not! A small niggle is the location of the under-buckle fastener, which given the tightness once the cover is pull fully over, will collect chain lube and get on your hands as you unfasten it. Easy get around to this is to find a small bungee strap and slide this through the two openings reserved for a padlock, located at the front-lower of the cover. Ordered one day - on the bike the next morning plus a good discount from Sportsbikeshop. Recommended.
Best bike cover money can buy!
This is my second one of these. Very well made. I had a 09 GSXR the 1st time and a Medium was very snug. It left a few inches of the wheels showing. Ive a 12 tuono now, so bought a large. Slightly baggy but covers the whole bike with ease. The solar panel fits nice also. Very good combo if you dont have a garage or shed. It was subjected to snow and rain and just does not penetrate. Fleece lined to protect the paintwork. Holes and pockets for padlocks work exactly how they should. Awesome piece of kit!
Suzuki V-Strom 1000 2014
I have a 2014 V-Strom with a bigger screen than the stock one and a size XL is perfect. Nice padding inside and definitely waterproof. Even if it blows and rain all night the bike is always bone dry in the morning. Recommended if you have to leave your bike outside.
On my replacement...
I love this cover but I am on my second as the seams came off. Excellent folks at Sportsbikeshop replaced it quickly so thank you. I'm inclined to think I had a bad 'un in a factory run as these covers are generally GOOD. The cover fits well, the elasticated bottom hugs the bike nicely and the belt secures it as you need. Slots for a chain at both ends is a nice touch. In many ways this is the best cover for living outdoors that I have found.
Does the job advertised
very good cover, I bought this after watching a review on YouTube after the guy said he had 3 previous covers all none as good as this one, especially if yours is a bike that is parked outside all of the time bearing the elements. I personally used this over the last couple of weeks when we had ice and snow and it kept the bike bone dry and ice free so that it started up much much easier, worth the money.
Great for keeping thieves deterred
Park in London in an underground car park so was more to get the bike out of sight that to shield from the elements. Cover seems very well made, got a soft inner lining to stop scratches. Panel at rear for number plate, panel at front for solar panel (not incl) and an elasticated base. Bought the XL - Tracer 700 which would have fitted a large but I have a top box which ruins that. XL covers the majority of the bike down to the ground but top box lifts the rear up to half way up rear wheel. Plenty of material to pull down to pegs, rear cotton reels etc Overall, great
