Oxford Stormex Bike Cover
Customer Product Reviews
This cover was to replace an identical one. (The taping on the seams had come away in less than a year) However this version seems far better quality than the previous one which was also letting in water. Perhaps a change in supplier, hopefully this one will last a little longer though to be fair the rain hasn't stopped since Sept. Great service by Sportsbikeshop who replaced the faulty one immediately.
My apologies as I am two weeks late with this review as I have had to wait for my new bike to be delivered during to the covid 19 issue. I ordered a large size for a Yamaha XJ 6 diversion and it fits very good, covering the whole bike. There will also be room enough if fi it saddle bags or maybe a top box. The material is made of strong material and should hold out the difficult weather. There are four feeder holes at the bottom in order to feed a tie cord to secure the bottom end tightly to stop the heavy winds/gales blowing the cover off. I recommend this cover. Far better than the standard type and worth paying the extra cash for it
My bike is stored all year out in the elements and without access to a garage required a cover to keep the bike dry and clean. The Stormex cover fits the bill. My only small grip is that when the cover gets to eighteen month old the taped seams start to come adrift. Gorilla tape holds the seams in place and maintains the waterproof nature of the cover. I will buy again.
