Oxford Stormex Bike Cover
Customer Product Reviews
Rolls Royce of covers
Got an XL for my R1200R. Expensive cover but since I am about to move homes, it will basically substitute my garage so I think it will b worth it in the long run. It is thicker than I was expecting and seems well made. Not easy to fold or store it but I'm sure it will do the job.
Positive first impressions
I like the overall way it feels - seems quality at this stage. I like the pockets that keep lock off the ground and it is waterproof. It is slightly (L) large for my Ducati Monster but I opted/wanted a bit 'extra' space rather than a struggle to get it on. The elasticated bottom works well to hold it on even without the strap. I am hopeful it will be durable but will only know in time. Good first impressions.
CBF600 - I got a large but medium may just have squeezed on. Can't fault the quality, I bought this to replace two others which only lasted 12 months each. Heavy duty with clear pockets and a belly strap to secure it against wind. Highly recommended.
Product has changed
Used a Stormex for my zzr for the past 5 years and was time for a new one. However the quality isn't the same and the sizing is totally different. The large cover covered my bike entirely. Including the whole wheels. But even the xl left part of the wheels exposed. The cover isn't as thick as the old one. So overall pretty disappointed in it. Have to try and find an alternative now.
Kawasaki Versys 650 2016 - XL
Tried the Large but too small. XL doesn't quite cover the bottom of the tyres, but I think it's the best fit, maintaining good structure to help the water flow away. Well made and thought through. Already being put to the test with heavy summer showers - all good so far. Longer term reviews are more useful I'd say.
Storms, no problem!
Chose the XL size for my BMW F800 GT. Great fit. Well made, heavy duty cover with taped seams, and a soft inner lining. It comes with an under- strap that is adjustable, and effectively keeps the cover securely on the bike during the worst of storms. My last one served me well and am confidant this one will do so as well.
Medium fit MT-10 just perfectly
its EXCELLENT got one to protect my new bike from a dusty, windy, work environment. Fits really well around the mirrors, R&G crash protectors, Akrapovi etc. The elasticated bottom of the cover securely about the front and back wheels preventing it flapping in the wind or blowing up like a balloon, it also has a snap fastened strap that fits under between the wheels from one side to the other for more wind security. Waterproof on the outside, with a soft inner layer, (with out sounding too much like a chocolate ad!) just get one, you can't do better
Good quality and price
I've tried a number of covers for various bikes over the years and I'm very pleased with this one. It seems to be made of really good quality material and looks like pretty good value at the price sportsbikeshop are selling it for. I went for an XL for my Honda X-ADV which fits OK albeit slightly loose in places.
