Customers highlight the enduring quality and ease of use, noting that a little goes a long way. Enthusiasts and experts in the field widely recommend it for long-lasting protection.
Cover my babe in this during its winter hibernation in the garage after a full clean and leading up to those cold days to protect against salt/grit if you are unfortunate to ride after road spreading. Top tip to leave spray bottle in warm water to thin the ACF for better spray coverage. Gives a lovely shine to black plastic on the bike as well.
Comes with the handy spray bottle.
Acf 50 is a penetrative oil that is often used as a protective barrier through the winter months. Search anywhere online and you will see its reputation for being a great option to protect your bike through the wet ad horrible conditions. I picked up the 32oz one not knowing how much I would need. I reckon it will last a long while coating my cb500 - another benefit though is the spray bottle which everyone online says they prefer to the aerosol can which can be a faff to use!
This is a great product anti rust protection
One of the best anti corrosion lubricants available
Ive used this in the marine industry for years, albeit its called corrosion block by same manufacturer. It works well but you do need to keep applying it lightly. I don't cover all my bike like some do, just a wipe round some vulnerable parts like rack frames and peg hangers, the bit which will rust easy. The spray bottle which comes with it is ok but a bit too high in delivery volume. Use a rag, keep the rag in a bag and use that over and over again.
The product it's awesome, really really good.
4 starts just because the spray was useless, instead of puffs just spray a straight jet and it's mostly useless and you waste a lot of product.
I use a brush and works!
This product is very good, at keeping surfaces, in good condition, great protection from corrosion on aluminium, steel, and painting engine cases . Top product
This is definitely the best anti-rust treatment you can buy. I've tried a few and all have offered some level of prevention, but not like this. A few areas had started to have a little bit of build up so I sprayed them with this and left it over the weekend. Came back a few days later to find all those spots rust free. This stuff is fantastic. Great value as well and arrived promptly after ordering as always.
In this country this is the Go to protection for shiny bits after a bike wash. Works well and it’s noticeable if you use this after every wash in bad weather that treated metal looks much better after a year on the British roads. Only gripe is the stuff is hard to spray on as the cans lose their gas propellant quickly and the trigger bottle isn’t good. I end up wiping AC 50 on metal using a cloth.
Great product. Be sparing it goes a long way.
This is the stuff if you ride all year. It takes me about 40 mins to apply probably twice through the winter months.
Keeps things looking good.
Product is excellent, but can leave puddle under vehicle if used with the spray bottle. Was very difficult to clean the excess ACF from my block paving. Found aerosol version is better at providing a mist coating to bike.
Makes the bike so shiny and so good to keep the rust away
Excellent product, different to aerosol, but refillable.
I've been using this for years, which says how I rate it. After a few different methods tried I now keep a paintbrush just for this, spray the brush and paint it on. If I've been a little too enthusiastic I'll wipe off excess with a paper towel. It's prevented corrosion on new bolts, old ones that are already corroded (2nd hand bike) will not get worse provided you wash salt off after a ride. Seems to last well, both in stock and on the bike. Tried a garden pressure pump delivery (canister with pump plunger and brass nozzle) but it's just a little too thick to get even spray, hence the brush.
Just what I expected
Originally designed to protect aircraft from corrosion, ACF-50 (Anti-Corrosion Formula) is now available to motorcyclists. Aviation products have to meet rigorously high standards and ACF-50 not only meets these but has been 'approved for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, electrical systems and electronic components'. The US Navy carried out tests using ACF-50 on the jets on their Aircraft Carriers and now use ACF-50 all the time!
Forms an active ultra-thin, clear film that kills existing corrosion cells, and will protect your bike against new corrosion forming. Use on heads, cooling fins, throttle linkages, brake cables, battery terminals, voltage regulator, suspension, engine components, torsion, bars, fuel control units, fuse box, swing arm, relays and connectors, undercarriage, chain, ignition switch, security systems, FOBs and more! ACF-50 can be sprayed on, wiped on with a rag, or professionally fogged for complete protection.
Use ACF-50 anywhere, except the brakes, on your bike including the engine and exhaust (will smoke on first start and burn off down pipes but still slows down corrosion process). Safe on paintwork, most rubbers and brings up black plastic trim a treat. ACF-50 contains no water and is approved for electrics so spray directly into electrical joints and components where it will prevent corrosion induced failures and high resistance joints. Works well at stopping dirt, mud and salt from sticking. You can come back from a winter ride with the bike 'white with salt' - a quick wash off and it's gone with the bike still protected.
ACF-50 is not water soluble, and so water will bead on contact. It creates a "sacrificial layer", once the beading stops it will need to be re-applied.
We can confirm that 32oz is equal to approximately 900ml and the item is supplied with a spray bottle as shown in the listing.
We can confirm that this is suitable to be used.
The ACF-50 Anti Corrosion Lubricant Spray is safe to use on all components; electronics, chrome, paint and plastic.
