Easy to fit

After trying various types these work really well. Easy to push into ear and great wind noise reduction but allows the intercom sound in. Don t need to push in far and can be a little fiddly to get out.

Doesn't stop much background noise but good for wind noise in your helmet, still comfortable after a couple hours.

Reduces the noise really well when riding alone, I noticed a big difference when you put them in properly

Size Matters!
15 May 2025 by Chris
The Oxford buds for me are a poor fit. They don't want to stay in my ears after a few minutes into any ride, thus provide no protection. I've tried different ways to fit them in to no avail.
I see they make a smaller version however, you're not going to know if they fit until you've purchased a set.

Maybe my ears are a tad too big for these

When I wear my Bell Scout Air , wind noise is truly deafening once above about 30 mph...but plonk these in and although reduction in racket is very noticeable ,so works there ...they ALWAYS pop out when taking lid off...good job they tethered together

Not for me
25 April 2025 by Ian
I already have another brand of ear plugs that work reasonably well.
I got the Oxford ear plugs to try as a spare pair. The price is around what I would expect to pay and they seem decent quality.
I tried them out and found they wouldn’t stay in my ears and eventually worked themselves out.
For me I think the shape clearly doesn’t suit my ears.
I did buy the standard fit but maybe the smaller ones might work better for me.
In the time I had them in my ears they did seem to block out a reasonable amount of noise.
Maybe I will at some point buy the smaller size to try but this is the problem when buying such an item we are all different.

Expensive and pointless. Usual for Oxford products.

Oxford ear plugs
21 February 2025 by Paul G
These regular fit ear plugs feel a little small and so blocked out some of the wind noise but are no where near as effective as foam plugs. They do feel comfortable though. Because they are a clear plastic they were hard to find when I dropped them. The case is sturdy.

Not too bad
12 February 2025 by Steven F
I bought a couple of brands to try out. These Oxford Filterbuds & the Alpine Motosafe (Race) ones. I have reviewed these too.
The Oxford buds fit well and are fairly comfortable but I could feel them pushing, slightly more. The filter is larger than the Alpine ones. Not sure how much this would irritate or hurt the inner ear on a long ride.
As for wind reduction, they cut it out totally, up to 40 - 50mph then you start to hear the wind noise. ( I haven't gone any faster with them yet, but I presume the noise would be more prevalent).
they stay in perfectly well when you remove your helmet.
I can hear my engine & comms very well. I can also hear people talking to me, once off the bike.
They come in a solid little metal container, which is nice.

Second Pair...wouldn't use anything else!
10 February 2025 by Ronnen
This is my second pair. They are brilliant, filters out the wind noise and allows me to enjoy my music whilst riding whether the twisties or commuting to work. I wouldn't use anything else.
As usual great service and quick delivery from Sportsbikeshop!

Comfortable Earplugs
14 November 2024 by Chris B
All day comfortable and cut out quite a lot of wind noise ( would like a little more
You can still hear engine, traffic & intercom which I wanted so there will always be a bit of a trade off.
They fir ok but do not have the insertion device of the Alpine earplugs but I do they think they are every bit as good
The material case is handy
I would buy again

Comfortable Ear Plugs
25 September 2024 by Colin B
Right from the off these are comfortable, even compared with my made to measure ear plugs. It's really difficult to measure what size you're going to need would be my only criticism. I think I'll need to buy a large set just to make sure that I have the correct protection. Good little container to put them in when not in use.

Promise unfulfilled
08 September 2024 by Cliff M
Bought these earplugs based on a review in MCN. They would be ok when biking in town, if you need to talk to someone, but let in too much noise once you hit the A roads and motorways. The container they came in is very good so will come in handy for other earplugs. But not the original ones. Sadly they are not for me.
