Easy to fit and remove using the built in stalk. Effective at reducing the wind rush but you can still hear other sounds around you. Can't comment on intercom use as I don't have one. The little case is handy to store the plugs. Haven't found that I needed to use the supplied applicator at all. I will buy again when these get tired (or more likely I lose one).
Had these for a while now, needed to replace them as the storks finally broke after 5 years of use.
They’re the most effective for comfort and for function, of a few I have tried and the inserting tool works well
Like the little tube that lets you insert the earplugs right in the ear securely. Comfortable over long distances and easiest to remove with the flexible tail.
Noise reduction is almost as good as the best foam earplugs when they're inserted fully, but when they're hot or wet, this can prove difficult. The Alpines are easy to get in.
Much recommended to reduce the wind noise, use it with a balaclava and it will be absolutely silent inside the helmet which definitely makes the ride more enjoyable and also after you finish the ride, you will feel great, I have learnt this the hard way by going in a ride for about 2 hours on the motorway and my ears hurt for a week after that so I decided to go with these
This is my second set of these ear plugs due to the little tail bit coming off the old pair (caused by soaking them in soap to clean too many times). Advise using the little tool to put them in as it gets a much better fit in the ear when doing so. For price these cannot be beat.
Definitely improves the wind noise at speed even though it doesn't eliminate it. A must have for long distance riding.
