Waterproof textile jackets don't have to be a big-money affair. Here are five budget belters...
Customers found the jacket to be excellent in terms of value and quality, with a good fit and protective features. Many appreciated its warmth and water resistance, although some had concerns about sizing and breathability. Several updates, such as removable liners and adjustable options, made it suitable for various weather conditions. While some customers mentioned minor inconveniences regarding pocket size or back protectors, the overall consensus was positive, with the jacket being a worthwhile purchase at a reasonable price.
Really happy with this jacket. The Richa Axel (Grey/Fluo) looks great and the fluo bits definitely help you stand out on the road without looking over the top. Fit was decent straight out the box, comfy too even on longer rides.
Feels well made and not too heavy either. Decent airflow when it’s warm, but still feels like it would hold up well in a shower. For the price, can’t really complain.
Would defo recommend if you’re after something that does the job and looks good doing it.
Fits well and has adequate protection, thermal liner comes out so it’s a dual season jacket. Used mostly in the sun so far but am very happy with this budget jacket
I'm a 3xl and had to buy an 8xl again these must be made in China by little people took the lining out and seated like a race horse the sweat was running down my arms velcro is very strong not sure if waterproof never seen the rain yet
I ordered in a new jacket on the try before you buy, and unfortunately it proved too small, too many pies. A member of staff walked me around the shop trying on different jackets at my price point, they didn't have to. I found a jacket and bought it. Brilliant service
Ok so far did as expected.
This is my second one of these jackets. Very good value and great for colder weather with lining and summer without. Go at least a size up.
Im a woman with not a very womanly shape I have big shoulders and am blessed with a larger chest. Womens jackets tend to be ill fitting and always have been, I tried on this jacket after trying a few on and it fit in the right places better than the womans. I was shocked about the price and the quality, very impressed!
A pretty good cheapish jacket, well fitting and fairly smart. Sadly not waterproof, at least in the chest area. I got rather wet on a motorway journey.
If you don't travel in the rain a pretty good jacket.
Warm waterproof and good quality. Survives my 30 minute wet commute regularly. Love it
As a new rider (aged 58!), I don't have a lot to compare this to but it looked good value and had decent features so I bought it.
It's a really well made jacket. I pulled the fleece liner out as I found it too warm and prefer thinner layers below.
It's strong, and the armour points feel good.
The fit is true. It has plenty of pockets and I've put in a back protector which fits snuggly.
First time out in a heavy rain shower and it did the job in keeping me dry.
Overall, I'm really pleased and it's proving to be great value for money.
Best value for money jacket that I've ever had, moved to Richa gear totally now. I think it's the best quality you'll get without having to sell your granny. The fit is perfect for me and it's warm and waterproof without being heavy.
Particularly impressed with the collar which is soft and padded with a velcro fastening so no faffing about with studs or buckles.
As you can probably tell I'm impressed.
Decent jacket for the money.. fits well and kept me warm at 8 degrees with just a T shirt on..
Slightly comfortable from the elbow to the wrist but not a bad jacket at all for the money
I ordered one size bigger than recommended and can easily wear a few layers and a fleece underneath. Purchased as a winter jacket and it is perfect. A lovely fit, feels well made, waterproof, warm, good pocket storage - no external chest pockets.
I really like this jacket and it has replaced my AlpineStars Drystar jacket as my new daily. Never owned Richa before, for £100 it's a worthwhile buy.
I like my old, and now less than smart, Richa jacket (XL) and my new Richa gloves. Thought I'd try a new jacket. I bought 2XL on a hunch and it is only just big enough. Funny, the old one is a perfect fit still and all it works fine.
Works well with vents and adjustment is flexible. Removable lining will come in handy too.
This jacket fits well, the zip vents work very well
Richa make great motorcycle clothing and this is no exception. Great sizing. Great features. Inner removable liner. Waterproof and also a few vents when the weather warms up. All at a very good price.
Also sports bike great service as always top notch
Nice comfortable and adjustable jacket and very good for the price. Not tried it in rain yet, however, feels pretty robust.
Size-wise, I would recommend going up one size from your usual size.
