Not sure why this wasn't included with the Richa jacket I bought, but a worthwhile addition. Feels like it would give me some back protection as best it can, good solid product

I was sceptical when this arrived as it's quite firm. However once in the jacket it's very comfy and quite wide so really will protect you if required

Barely noticeable protection

Fits nicely into my Belstaff jacket and barely noticeable which is exactly what I was looking for. Flexes to the shape of your back, unlike some of the chunky solid ones I've had over the years, but still feels like it would offer good protection. Haven't had to test it yet and fingers crossed I never will!

No price on safety

After a recent spill breaking my wrist and elbow, I decided to upgrade all my armour from level 1 to level 2. The back protector is a no brainier at the price. Replaces my resurgence one, easily swapped over. I like to think if the same should happen, I want to give myself the best chance I can.

Comfortable and reassuring

Really comfortable in my RST Brixton jacket, and a very reassuring thickness. First time I used it was on a >3hr ride and I got used to the extra weight/bulk very quickly - easy to forget it's there after a while.

While waiting for my new Jacket I put this is my current Oxford Textile Jacket and went for a hot summers day ride. Didn't feel it at all and didn't get sweaty, so all round good, comfortable protection

My Richa Infinity 2 Pro Textile Jacket is an XL and I ordered the large back protector which fits nicely into the jacket. I Used it for the first time on a 4 hour ride. It was extremely comfortable.

Another excellent experience with sportsbikeshop. Ordered the wrong size in this back protector. Made a call, received an email, printed a return label (postage paid), went to the post office, waited a few days. New back protector arrived in the post.
I can't comment on the back protector or how good it is fortunately and I hope I never need to find out but what I do know is that all other bike shops could take a leaf out of sportsbikeshop book.
Will always be my first port of call for whatever I might be I need in the future.

Bought to replace the level 1 protector supplied with my new Richa Infinity 2 Pro Textile Jacket. Great fit in the jacket & you can't tell its there. Just a pity it wasn't supplied with the jacket.
