Dainese D-Air Smart Jacket - Hi Vis

I would wear hi viz clothing anyway but having extra safety built in for me is plus. Battery life is good and it activates automatically when you start riding. Clever tech

Snug fitting jacket (I'm 85kg, 6 foot high). Reasonably easy to charge up (Sportsbikeshop send the jacket out with the system fitted). Obviously Hope never to have to use it. Must be worth the investment. Make sure the 2 studs clip together at neck to activate the system. Neat colour code and buzzing sensation when getting onto bike (ensures you know it's activated). Impressive bit of kit.

Does what it says on the packaging hope I never have to use it though, want to add the service I received from Sue and the team at the Milton Keynes branch was very helpful I would of gotten the wrong size had it not been for Sue's knowledge and expertise

This is my second airvest and my first without a tether. The extra sense of freedom this gives is great though there was nothing wrong with my old Helite - except I could not fit the tether to my new scooter! Now I can ride anything fully protected. The jacket sizing is clearly Italian - Large was far too small for me and I ended up with XXL - but Sportsbikeshop are great at returns so no big deal. The manual for the vest tells you how to connect up the wiring but mine came fully wired up - either it was a return or Sportsbikeshop do this for you, not sure which but not really important. Overall extremely pleased with it.

Excellent piece of protective gear. Allows you to remove the existing back protector from your jacket. It is rather heavy but once on you don't notice the weight. it recharges via USB and is easy to set up. Recommended.

V. Impressed. My jackets are on the loose side so easy to fit under abut also adjustable to go over for touring and extra visibility. Pick the size above your jacket. I though I would be using the light system for status but nope the buzzer is fab. Buzz it's on, another buzz when you get on the bike and it's armed. Buzz when is disarms when you get off. Don't want it going off when you slip on some idiots diesel. You always know. Clever little feature. Because it's so "light" (just like when you wear a chunk armoured jacket) an easy, I wear it all the time even for pop to the shops trips. Tech is expensive but better to pay now than regret whilst in pain or worst later
