Medium protector fits perfectly in my Medium Alpinestars ST-7 jacket.
It has good coverage, clearly strong enough as its certified level 2 but its barely noticeable while riding.
I wear this jacket commuting on street bike, so in sat up position, not tucked in on sportsbike. The tail of the protector does not touch the seat at all so remains in place & comfy.
My jacket optionally fits the shorter protectors but honestly no idea why you'd get a short one, literally no downsides to the best protection other than it obviously costs a shy bit more.
