Advice & Guides Gore-Tex not keeping out water? There's a different procedure to getting it sorted, and here's an explainer...

I recently (Nov 2025) came back from Italy via Switzerland. I had a whole day riding -8 degrees C. Previously, i would stop and put on handlebar muffs to cut back on the worst of the weather (cold and/or rain). This time i didn't. I did the whole day with these gloves only. I was impressed! Yes, i have heated grips and hand shields (i'm on a GS 1200). The second leg, +7 degrees, through france up to Calais began was in torrential rain (great trip :-) but again, i didn't feel the need to put the muffs on. Rain stopped and i just carried on. My hands never once got to a point where i though "crap, I can't do this for too long". So yes, these gloves are actually much better than I anticipated. I di notice that when v damp, without a little caution, the liner could try to follow your hand out of the glove... The cuffs are longer than i usually like because of the fiddle getting them under the jacket sleeves, but once in, they are suitably dextrous to take off and refit your helmet and of course you can operate your phone with them on. So, while not the cheapest glove, you do seem to get what you pay for. In my case, Revit's medium fits well without fingers being too long or even too short.
