Great boots but falls short of my difficult requir

This is hard to review. It is excellent value for the listed price and would be the first choice if I was starting out biking as it does what it needs to do; the weatherproofing is excellent, it's light and durable. However in comparison to an Gore-Tex shoes, there are couple of things which the Gore-Tex shoes does better better such as the waterproofing, perhaps 5-10% better if you were to quantify it; but the main difference is that the Gore-Tex shoes tend to be warmer and that is a critical consideration if you ride in the winter which I do. The issue I have is that I wear out shoes and boots every one and half years and this brings me to this dilemma, is it worth the extra for an Gore-Tex shoes which provides slightly better performance and maybe crosses over the threshold of functionality due to being warmer but has limited wear cycle?. In itself the Richa boots are excellent and if I were not doing lot's of mileage and in very difficult weather, these boots are a no brainer especially for the price.

500 good reviews?! I really don’t know how but this was the only reason why I got them. Before I try them first time I had them for some time and when I got them I troweled box so I won’t be able to return them. Shame because this is the most useless pair of boots I ever owned. Supposed to waterproof, well they worst then my 2 years old oxfords. The only good think ? Fair comfortable to walk in, that’s it, other then that I never regret any buy so badly.

If you don't want to pay top tier prices for top tier names these bolt are brilliant. Best used for summer riding rather than full winter as they are a short height. Totally waterproof a number of years on. Excellent vfm.

The boots fit perfectly and it saved my feet from a few spills. It's not that expensive but I am going to give this 4 stars as I have to use boot laces. Laces are not a deal breaker but it's a little annoying to have to tuck them in. The next pair I buy won't have laces for sure.

Where I work the road gets dusty and dirty which results in the boots getting dirty. Due to the waterproofing it was easy to wipe them clean, like brand new. During the pouring rain my feet were dry and warm. They are really comfortable and I get no pain or discomfort when riding. The only thing is the laces don’t have anywhere obvious to go with the strap to go across, I just tuck them into the boot but maybe I’m just not doing it right.

Replaced an older 5-year-old pair, and they seem just as good. Much stiffer from new compared to last time, but they'll break in and soften eventually. However, the design has been updated to include D30 armour, which changes the fit slightly, different laces and a longer Velcro tab.

Great price match from SBS, saved me a wedge of cash.
Fit is true to normal sizing.
Very stiff but I’m sure they will break in with time.
Laces are far too long, once tied you are left with about 8inches of lace, I’ve cut them back and sealed the ends.
I’ve not worn them in the wet but do not doubt their waterproofing.

I've opted for these short boots to replace my current short boot. The big thing you notice is how solid these are, especially the upper where the gear change lever connects. As we approach winter, there will be fewer opportunities to wear these, but if I do get caught in the rain I'm not worried as they are waterproof.

Comfortable from the off, I think for the price they are excellent, will not be much use in winter as although waterproof , they are short, so trousers tend to ride over them, but fine 3 season boot.
