Helite Replacement / Additional CO2 Canister

I've used my Helite twice in anger, so although the kit is expensive, I know it works.
Obviously the bag only works with a canister; unfortunately when you fly, you can't guarantee that some body with a clip board will think your canister will be safer in the bin (or their pocket), so you have to buy a new canister at the point of arrival.

Essential piece of equipment, renewed to be on safe side.

Hard to review a gas cartridge, all good except for the lack of protection to the fairly delicate puncture area.
At £25 it really should have something fitted to avoid the homemade protections we all use on our spares.

Trying to obtain compressed CO2 canisters from any other retailer very difficult, but - as usual - SBS has the monopoly on innovation and customer service! Ordered one day: delivered the next AND at no extra cost!

Just try getting any other firm to send you compressed CO2 cartridges at a reasonable price & you're sure to fail!
SBS does it quite magnificently with a dedicated courier AND it's evident that both know their tasks so very well!

Ordered one when I bought the airbag, now it lives under my seat. Hopefully I'll never need it but it's good to know it's there if I ever trigger the vest.

Air vest went off due to an accident, ordered replacement which arrived next day.

Haven't used it yet as i haven't tripped over my own wheels (touch wood), but seems simple enough to replace into the vest as long as vest bladder isn't damaged. Usual great service to the Highlands from SBS.

Thank goodness Sporsbikeshop had one in stock. After 50 years of riding suddenly felt unsafe when I triggered my Helite vest off by accident at a bikers festival.
