Gore-Tex not keeping out water? There's a different procedure to getting it sorted, and here's an explainer...
I mistakenly bought this gloves for a cold weather. When I receive it the gloves label specified that is to "Keep Warp" out of four options were the top and fourth is "Keep Very Warm". Nonetheless the gloves are good for what they are sell for.
I ordered these gloves specifically to wear during rain in warmer months not in winter. I used them on a trip to France last month where we were caught in rain twice. On both times, once torrential rain and the other very light rain, the gloves worked perfectly, and my hands were bone dry. The temperature was between 9-18 degrees on these occasions. I don’t think these gloves would be suitable for use in temps lower than this. I measured my hands as per the guidelines and I was a size medium, however, when I tried them on, I found them to be too tight so went for the large. A very good glove I would recommend.
Good movement in hand and breathable. Prob need something warmer for winter
Nice fit, comfortable. Not tested in wet yet
Not as thick as other winter gloves or as expected. There isn't much in the way of thermal lining and the advertised silver lining is not great for anything below 1 degree.
Even with cotton inner gloves these won't keep your hands warm.
The wrist straps also get stuck when trying to take the gloves off and are at risk of ripping.
Yet to try them in the wet.
Quality is as you would expect from alpine stars. Very comfortable and keeps my hands warm on days above 3 degrees. Very happy with it!
