Rukka Kallavesi Gore-Tex Textile Jacket - Black

Having owned a RST textile suit for 10 years I thought it time for a change and decided to spend more than I would normally do to ensure that I had a jacket that would keep me dry and warm all year (I commute everyday on the bike). The jacket does not disappoint, the quality shines through in both the design and the material. Definitely worth trying a couple of sizes on in the shop if possible as the inner liner pushes you up a size or two. The one issue I do have is that although the body of the liner is attached by a zip to the jacket, the sleeves of the liner are attached by two buttons to the inside of the jacket sleeve. The result is that the inner sleeve can become detached from the jacket - which is a pain. Otherwise a superb jacket and great service from SBS as usual. I dont shop anywhere else.

Bought lots of jackets before always cheaper and they don't last. This is the best by far, expensive but you get what you pay for. Doesn't get wet! Sportsbikeshop good with returns too

After buying a couple of fairly expensive jackets and trousers over a few years and still getting wet, cold or having uncomfortable armor that never seems to be quite in the right places. I decided to take the plunge even though everything was telling me it's too much money. Now after a few months of daily riding I'm 100% convinced and if I'd brought Rukka years ago I would have saved a fortune. Im 5ft7, 42" chest & 34" waist (purchased,large jacket and large-short trousers)everything fits spot on even the trouser armor is in the right places which is strangely difficult to find being a shorty. The outlast material is magic (possibly witchcraft) I've no idea how it works but it does, keeps me warm and cool. so far I've just been riding with a tshirt underneath in temps between 7 & 22'c and without the inner linings in. Also torrential rain is no longer a problem. My only slight gripe is the pockets zips are quite tight to get stuff in and out. Possibly not for really hot weather but 85% right for uk weather. I can't even begin to describe how well made it is, hence the 5-6 year warranty.

Really expensive but definitely worth it, same goes for the trousers.
Been caught in a few downpours and stayed bone dry, very comfortable and plenty of ventilation for the hotter days.
I was almost put off by the price but it's definitely worth it.

Having purchased at least three other jackets over the last few years, all of which failed at some point, I finally decided on Rukka, and with the amount of venting on this jacket I can honestly say it's first class. Having ridden many miles with the recent heavy rain, it's performed outstandingly. Not a drop of water has entered. If you're serious about touring and your budget allows, then look no further!

The best rukka jacket yet, rode in may 2021 through some biblical storms and it kept me warm, dry and comfortable, expensive yes but the cost over the 6 years warranty makes it worth it and gortex pro is the best

Real quality and does exactly what it's meant to.

My last Rukka covered thousands of miles across Europe and the USA and never let me down. Even travelling in snow on a Honda Blackbird, mad I know, but I was warm and dry Sadly twenty years on I retired it and purchased the Kallavesi, lets see if it can match its predecessor. However, if it does I will still be riding at nearly ninety. Here's hoping.

Awesome product - first textile jacket I've purchased and have yet to test it in the cold and rain, but during the current weather it has been perfect- not too hot, nor too cold.

The fit is fantastic, and the quality is second to none. There is also the added peace of mind that Rukka comes with a 6 year warranty.

A very well made jacket, the materials used are top notch ,they really have made a jacket that is all day comfortable.
Brilliant fit , a little expensive but well worth the money ,I have had other makes of jackets but not in the same league as this one.
