Rukka Melfort Gore-Tex Textile Jacket - Brown

I’ve had this jacket for over a year, used it in 35 degrees, below 0 degrees and persistent heavy rain.
The vents work well in the heat and I find it warm enough if I’m wearing decent base and mid layers.
The cuffs wicking water referred to in other reviews is a problem after about an hour but I’ve never had a jacket where that didn’t happen.
Oh and it looks great…..

Excellent jacket. Feels very heavyweight and protective. Nice thick leather where it matters. Reassurance of goretex for bad weather. Removable thermal liner and good ventilation for summer. 6yr warranty once registered with Rukka.

Only downsides are:
1.) Cordura material makes it difficult to remove bug splats
2.) doesn't come with a back protector
3.) I have noticed a loose thread on one part of the stitching

I had high hopes of this jacket and in many areas it delivers.
It doesn't look like a bike jacket so can be worn discretely when off the bike.
It has gor-tex and has D2O pads or places for them where you want them. Fortunately I had my own Back Pad as, surprisingly or a jacket that costs this much, it doesn't come with one.
Having used it now in full blown rain it is as you would hope waterproof, but it has a major problem where gloves met jacket. It wicks water up the sleeves if you have gloves inside getting hands wet when you take of your gloves. If you put gloves outside water runs down your sleeve.
I wore this in the heat and the vents, which are unusually placed in the sides of the jacket, work very well. During the cold weather, the liner is not the warmest I have ever had either which is a shame.
I purchased this as a year round jacket, looks like I am going to be disappointed.
