Oxford Beast Ground Anchor

Short of casting an anchor while the concrete is laid, this must be as good as it gets. The double sheet must surely hinder grinder attacks, and the span design places pairs of bolts away from each other. You could attack the concrete around the bolts and then lever it out I guess, but as a deterrent it's pretty good.

I needed this as other anchors are too small for my Oxford Beast chain. It's as huge and heavy as you would expect. Two layers of hardened steel anchor interlock and are separable for easier installation. The instructions are clear. The hardware provided is top quality. You will need drill bits. I used a blob of grease to temporarily hold the ball bearings in place so I could hammer them into the hex heads of the fixing bolts. Remember to vacuum out the dust from drilled holes, or else the bolts could spin. It fits my Beast chain nicely and looks like it would provide just as much of a challenge to an angle grinder attack. Worth the investment!

Purchased to attach to wall where bike will be anchored as no garage. Initial impression that the fittings supplied for anchoring into the wall could be longer to increase security even further. However, it looks and feels very solid; seemingly immovable now fitted. I hope any would-be bike theives will have the same impression!

The Oxford beast ground anchor is amazing along with the beast chain and lock. Wanted something heavy duty to protect my beloved R6 and this ground anchor did not disappoint. Installation was straight forward but bear in mind you will need a 16mm drill bit for the ground holes. The double anchor structure means pesky thief's will have to make 4 cuts even with an angle grinder it will take around 10 minutes and a lot of noise at which point I don't think the thief will think it's worth it. Get yourself one along with the beast chain and lock and you won't be disappointed. Fantastic price of kit
