Oxford Alpha XA14 Alarm Disc Lock

For the price point I can't fault it. Having now used it for 6 months I'll probably upgrade to something a bit beefier like the new hiplok ones but they are significantly more expensive. This lock is easy to carry around, key can be a bit fiddly and I've noticed that sometimes when it's alarmed, I can put my helmet on my seat and it will go off, other times I can fully move my bike off the kick stand and it won't go off.

A good quality product, very solid. The bright yellow colour also good as a reminder that it is still on the brake disc, although it does come with a tether just as an extra reminder. It has three spare keys which is also handy. Only issue is that you literally have to dismantle the unit to charge the alarm. Otherwise very happy with this and an excellent price.

Solid but biggish jacket pocket size

Simple to install and a great visual deterrent. The alarm will activate if the bike is moved and is very loud.

Had the standard Alpha disc lock and was pleased enough with it but Black Friday tempted me to upgrade. Although not a massive difference in design, the added benefit of the motion alarm brings added peace of mind. Little fiddly to operate until you have set the alarm a few times.

Easy to use and built well, this lock is a reassurance that when I come back, my bike will still be waiting there. And the alarm this has is both loud and shrill enough to hopefully deter anyone with less than honourable intentions!

I really like the idea of an alarm on this lock. Seems really good quality.

My first alarm disc lock and I must say I have been missing out. This gives a visible sense of security. The lock is easy to use and the alarm is ear piercingly loud. Happy I bought it.

Decent sized lock. The alarms loud. And it's not too heavy. I store mine under my seat

Well constructed, easy to use and battery lasts forever. So easy to carry in a pocket on the bike as well which means I always take it with me. Would definitely buy again if I needed to. Another well thought out product by Oxford.

It’s a layered security product. I like the size and the sound bit back it up with other security.

Quite bulky and heavy, though still easy enough to sling in a bag or pocket. Easy to fit and remove from disc once you get the hang of it. Loud alarm when it's set off.

Heavy duty, and easy to use. I really like the fact that you can disable the alarm when locking it

Easy to use, locking mechanism does not seem very robust but the alarm should stop people attacking it. cosmetically very poor, paint very thin and rubs off very easily, not worth rrp.
