Oxford Alpha XA14 Alarm Disc Lock

Easy to use, locking mechanism does not seem very robust but the alarm should stop people attacking it. cosmetically very poor, paint very thin and rubs off very easily, not worth rrp.

A sturdy lock that keeps my bike safe and secure

I really like this alarmed disc lock. It has a rechargeable battery (which they recommended to charge every 3 months) and it is super easily to charge, just undo one Allen bolt to access the usb C charging port.
I bought the ‘yellow’ version because I want it to be seen from a distance. The supplied reminder cord is vital but disappointed it didn’t come with a storage pouch but did find a cheap one on Amazon. I did struggle with the technique to disarm the lock so it can be transported with the locking pin fully home. You need to push it home fully (single beep) then quickly withdrawn and push home again (double beep) and lock to remove key.
The lock looks solid and well made with a substantial sized pin and at just less than £50, is great value. It is so convenient to carry and use I attach it every time I leave the bike.

Once you figure out how to arm the alarm it works and is loud. It is a little heavy, but that could be a good thing as well

It fits in the palm of your hand, not too heavy but robust. I went with yellow to advertise the deterrent to any would be thieves at 100m!! Its added audible alarm is an added / must have feature and its made by a reputable and trusted company. As with all security devises you can supplement this with additional locks and chains in the garage , trackers or data tagging but taking a ride out on a Sunday ... it's all you need for peace of mind.

When thee's asleep, what wakes thee apart from your partners snoring? Alarms! Weather it be the annoying beep from your alarm clock, or god forbid your disk lock throwing a wobbly! Hope for thees sake it's the disc lock un not your partner! Motorbikes are more fun than most partners.

This disc lock feels good quality, nicely finished. In the yellow it’s highly visible imo

Great product, not used a disk lock for a few years but after a recent weekend trip I decided not to lug a chain and lock either me with the weight consideration.
The disk lock was the answer and with the added alarm it was even better to pack in my bag.
Easy to lock and unlock plus the lanyard attached to the handle bar as a reminder.
