The popular Caberg Duke series gets a posh new version...
Customers praise the helmet's fit, comfort, and integrated features like the sun visor and intercom compatibility. Many find it lighter and quieter than their previous helmets, enhancing the riding experience. Despite being budget-friendly, it's appreciated for its robust design and low wind noise. Some minor drawbacks include cheek pad discomfort, wind noise at high speeds, and pinlock issues. Overall, it's highly recommended for its quality, especially compared to more expensive alternatives.
Modern look, comfortable, easy to breathe, one-handed operation. Does the job
Bought for the misses, she says its a bit noisy but comfortable. Good face mech and internal visors good.
This is a great helmet. It was a little more snug than I expected, to the point it did cause a little bit of discomfort for the first couple of weeks, but now that it has been ridden in it feels great and fits my head perfectly. The liners are easy to remove and reinsert, making cleaing a breeze.
I wish the pinlock insert was a little bit taller as it does obscure the upper portion of the front view a little when fully closed, and there is still about an inch of visor left above it. Other than that, no issues with this helmet at all, and it has become my go-to lid for most rides.
Only worn once but could definitely of done with the pinlock visor couldn't have it down as fogging up, had it open spent ride with streaming eyes?
Apart from that good fit good visibility not too noisey when visor was first shut,
Would recommend but make sure it either comes with pin lock visor or you buy one at the same time.
Bought the helmet as it was the right size for me, but also bought the exact same helmet from another online retailer for the other half, as it had the right size for them, at exact same price, we opened the helmets together as they arrived on the same day, but thiers came with a bit of fabric to help undo the catch on the chin strap mine didn't, and mine came with a wrinkle in the plastic around the collar, so it probable won't stay together very long, will try and super glue it when it decides to come away altogether, shame as we have never had a problem with sports bike shop.
Good value for money ventilation is fine but not great. Weight is rather heavy for longer rides. Visor is stiff to lift up and close for some reason. The lid lifts up easily with the red latch. The sun visor and vent lever is vulnerable on top of the helmet, if you're not careful could catch it and snap it off.
Rather quiet which is good and fits true to size.
Bought an HJC C91 helmet size L & initially thought I'd ordered too small. The helmet holds my head closely but I can still insert my specs/sunglasses via the spec grooves in the lining. In the event of an accident, I think my head would be safer due to the way my head is cradled by the lining. I expect the lining will relax a little given time but not enough for my head to be shaken within the helmet.
Great looking helmet, light, great vision, glasses slot good added bonus,
Bought this to replace my old Caberg Duke helmet and so far it appears to be a good value replacement. According to the net this is heavier than my old Duke however it actually feels lighter in use, It is well padded internally and both the visor and front flip mechanism are of robust design whilst the internal sun visor gives good coverage with the main visor giving an excellent range of vision. There is a good curtain at the chin however at speed I can't say I've noticed much difference re wind noise which seems similar to my previous noisy Duke. One criticism I do have is with the pinlock - it is pinlock ready which means buying the pinlock as an addition. The recommended one for this helmet covers a variety of different HJC models and whilst it does not add significantly to the price the pinlock has only one apparent option for fitting to the HJC 91 visor and as a result seems to sit quite low down at the top. This gives you a visible 'horizon' from the pinlock when you first put the helmet on however this does not appear to be an issue once your are riding. A minor quirk admittedly but this plus the wind noise is the reason for my 4 stars rather than 5. All in all a good budget helmet in which build quality seems to exceed the price. As noted buy a size up - I was on the cusp of 2 sizes and so went for the larger which is snug, I don't think I could get the smaller one on without losing my ears in the process. Excellent, prompt service from SBS as usual - the helmet came very well packed and handled by DPD giving confidence of no delivery 'droppage' issues.
This is my second hjc c91, it looks lovely, fantastic fit, very comfortable, light weight, low noise, good ventilation, easy to use flip visor 10/10
Bought for a trip to Italy and purchased a compatible intercom system for my partner.
I have a more expensive HJC helmet which didn't have the compatible channels etc for intercom.
For the money this is an excellent choice modular helmet and will probably lay buy anotherfor myself.
Lovely looking helmet that has space for accommodating spectacle or sun glasses, although the helmet has a sunshade built-in.
HJC always a good helmet at a good price.
This is my second of the same type but this one is a bit more snug than the last one but well worth the money.
I am really happy with this helmet good vision shut out the sound great to have the all around ventilation and good quality
Excellent helmet. I purchased this recently and it fits to a T. Excellent comfort and really good fitting. It has the great features of the built in sun visor and slot for my HJC intercom. The helmet is light and I have to say it is really quiet whilst driving. I have great pleasure wearing this helmet and the quality of the intercom is amazing with this helmet.
I walked into sportsbikeshop with an intent to buy a helmet, I walked through the store looking at different types of lids and was unsure on which one to go for. I was debating between a flip up or full face, I looked at prices and picked this one up, inspected the HJC C91 and was impressed! Flip up, solid visor, smooth sun visor, quick release strap, you've got it all! I tried the demo helmet and it was pretty snug, no wobbly movements and it would bed in to the contours of your face for an even better fit! I've had many helmets including the HJC RHPA 11 Camo Monster Edition and I would still pick this up first. In conjunction to purchasing this helmet, I bought a Sena Spider ST1 Intercom with fits perfectly on this lid.
Really nice flip up helmet, my 3rd HJC helmet, good quality, nice flip up mechanism & excellent fit. Quality service from Sportsbikeshop as always
I ordered an hjcc91 flip front crash helmet on Friday afternoon and it arrived on Saturday. Couldn't believe the service, from Sportsbikeshop. Superb helmet from a fantastic company. Great fit and easy to operate all the bits on it.
Thank you very much. Great company to deal with.
