Advice & Guides The label inside your boots will tell you about what tests they've gone through, and how they did. Here's how to decipher those labels for yourself...
Feel solid, good for price wen I purchased them. They are currently my second/back up pair so don't get as much use to give a better review. Purchased when I had a adventure bike which I don't now so not 100% ideal but work.
They are not waterproof as I'd hoped, in torrential rain your feet will get wet and when dried a white reside shows, easy to clean off. Buckles are ok and work but as these were the first type of boot with them I'd not go for a boot with them again.
These are well made boots. No zips, which is more comfortable for me. Fit adjusted through velcro and clips.
Would be a 5 star but the armour does dig into your ankle at the bottom. I may try and put insoles in to see if that helps. I am a size 8.5 and bought a size 9 and feel they are perfect especially if you want warm socks in the winter. They are lovely and well made, just hope I can fix ankle issue.
Great boots. Incredibly well made with quality thick leather, good stitching. Flex is under the balls of the foot - so I assume a shank of some description . Sizing is good for me. I'm a wide 8.5 and I bought the size 9 / 43 and they fit well with the length making up for the width. However… the ankle flex is limited for shifting due to the thick leather (for my BMW f800st) but ymmv on a more upright bike. Also on mine the hard ankle armour sits close / under to the clasp, causing it to cut into my ankle when walking. It's heartbreaking as they are so good otherwise. Definitely try before you buy and walk around the shop. 5* for quality but fit is everything
Early days, but loving these boots that I got for a forthcoming month-long bike tour of Europe.
Really well constructed and look like they'll offer great protection.
They're fairly stiff at the moment - as you'd expect - but should soften with wear.
These are good quality offering good protection. Boots are stiff yet comfortable to walk in. Had to adjust gear change height to accommodate. Not had a chance to test waterproof claims but quality suggests this should be no problem. Calf is plenty wide enough to go over or under leathers and my calves are not slender which had previously kept me to short Boots.
I wanted a high boot with good protection and waterproof, but not too much of an adventure style.
These Merlin Boots ticked all the boxes, excellent quality and price.
Well made fast DPD delivery very good customer service after I ordered too small …. Due to a slightly misleading size chart
Little bit stiff on the gear change but might loosen up, comfy when walking, not been out in the wet yet.
