The most versatile glove available

My last set of these lasted roughly 22000 miles over 5 years and have been used from 5 degrees to over 30 degrees and plenty of rain in between, they got 4 stars rather than 5 because when they get older if your not careful you can bunch up the insides , but otherwise they’re the perfect 3 seasons gloves

But don’t like the brand very much. Previous pair had valid warranty claim. Held spent weeks sending me and SBS around in circles. Finally SBS stepped in and refunded. In spite of the fact Held are not the nicest to deal with, their glove products are good and innovative

Comfortable gloves but need breaking in

While these are now my goto riding gloves they took a while to break in. The material was stiff when new. After a few months and a couple of rain showers they are fine. The water proof pocket of these gloves is still bulky though. There are less bulky alternatives available. The feel from the dry pocket is very nice though.

Top quality all season gloves , this is my third pair , the previous ones gave up after 14 years of all season service. The new ones feel great and fit really well with enough length in the fingers for no squish . The fasteners are easy to use , they just need a little breaking in to my hands. Here is to these lasting as per the previous pair ! Not cheap but great value for the quality and durability.

The best of gloves. Have a look at the photo. My mk I s, over 10 years old and 50k miles. No rips, tears or poor stitches. They have been soaked and abused on many trips, but still waterproof. On my last trip the liner started to be a problem with wet hands, so the new pair are there for the wet and probably won't see a dry day until the old ones fully retire. The liner in the new pair feels even better and more secure. When it is too cold for these I really don't want to be on a bike and when it is hot, they are as cool as a pair of summer gloves. Tremendous gloves and worth the price. I go a size up just for a little bit more room, but my standard size also works for me.

Very comfortable gloves - fantastic service

The gloves are true to the size chart and fit very well, the option to select a finger length is great. Gloves are very comfortable and the breezy chamber works really well. I haven't yet had to try to dry chamber so can't comment on that aspect. They fit really well inside textile jacket sleeves or over leather jacket. Brilliant product and great service from SBS

Tested on my France Spain tour. Rain in France but dry hands. Heat in Spain but cool hands. Quite stiff to start with but soon broken in. They do just as it says on the tin. Excellent gloves !

If you are a three season rider they are perfect, just not warm enough for British winters

Much more comfortable in the ‘breezy’ pocket but a good alternative to carrying two pairs.

Extremely well made glove with two chambers. Summer chamber is great with a very tactile feel to to bike, similar to a 'Five GTX' glove. Air flow is good between the fingers and back of the hand. Wet / winter chamber seems good and does keep your hands dry.

Held Air N Dry II

This is my second pair of Held Air N Dry, 1st pair has lasted for years, used in all weathers always kept my hands dry in the rain & coolish in the heat. perfect for touring as no need to take multiple combinations of gloves, good level of protection. I've never used in the depths of winter. I Like the option to have different finger lengths, I've have large hands, I go for 3XL with long fingers and just right for me. the cuff wraps quite narrow to fit under jacket (Rukka) if needs be.
all in all - recommended.

My original gloves were also bought through sportsbikeshop about 10 years ago. In spite of age the original Held gloves are still a great glove, but have finally stopped being waterproof. Luckily they still make the same glove and when realised bought straight away. Tempted to keep using old ones and keep new ones for wet days and trips away.
They are more spring or autumn weather gloves as warm/ thick. Possible to use as summer gloves with the kangaroo leather being thin but durable.

These gloves work work from spring until the very cold winters days. I love the dual glove becasue if your hand gets too hot you can swap over to the racing side. If you get caught in a downpour you can use the gortex section. This is the second pair I have had of these and love them.

I bought these gloves for a touring trip through France with the aim of using them as my default glove in middling conditions thereafter, but I think I'll generally stick to using a summer glove and mid-temperature glove most of the time.

Like other Held gloves I've had, they're very stiff from new and are challenging to get on despite the sizing being correct. The sizing has changed quite a bit since my last Held gloves ten years ago and I've gone from XXL to L with long fingers with the finger length allowing me to go down to the correct palm size which is good as it reduces wrinkling.

The airy part of the glove flows decent air but the palm gives less feel than my summer gloves and the liner for the dry compartment compresses the ends of my fingers, leaving them quite sore at the end of a long ride.

The dry chamber keeps all but the worst rain out. We had a day of torrential rain and the tips of the fingers were getting slightly damp by the end (on a naked bike) but not significantly so. The problem with this compartment is that it takes away lots of feel and the holes for the air section still jet cold air onto the liner, so it's less warm than my other mid-temperature Held gloves, which offer better feel. The other problem is that much less of the heat from the heated grips gets through to your hands than with my other dedicated mid-temperature gloves and on my naked bike I needed the heated grips at 11C.

So, they're useful if you don't want to carry two gloves, but dedicated summer and mid-temperature gloves are better in every way.

This is my second pair. First pair served me for years and buying the second pair was the easiest decision I have ever made.

They are great gloves and to me are all seasons gloves - especially if you have heated grips. No need to carry second pair on long tours.

They are very well made and full of quality. They come in short size fingers as well so the fit is great.
The visor wiper always useful.

Start a chilly morning ride with hands in the winter pocket and when it gets hots switch to the summer pocket - mates really get jealous :-).

Expensive but worth it and you get 2 pairs for the price of one ... :-)
