Oxford Heated Advanced Hot Grips - Adventure
Customer Product Reviews
Fitted to a Ducati Monster 797. Took my time, most difficult bit is routing the cables so as to avoid getting snagged by fuel tank or fried by exhaust. Took a couple of hours. Well made product, appears to work well, but will have to wait until it gets colder to know for sure. Had to spray control panel mounting bracket black, other than that it's all good. Recommended.
A great improvement on past versions. Install very easy, but do read the instructions, fully. Enjoy very toasty fingers, through to cooking them, if one wants too. Sportsbikeshop normal fast, efficient delivery, but please a JIFFY BAG, come on people, you can do better, and normally do so.
Excellent. Wired into the ignition so come on / off with the bike and remember previous setting. Had Yamaha OEM grips fitted. They were cr@p so had them removed by Yamaha. Fitted these and they are just stunning in comparison. I made my own mount for controller and mounted it sideways so the wire came out parallel to bar. The only thing that was annoying was the big word Oxford on the controller so I just covered it with a bit of tape. Looks as close to an OEM install as possible and works a treat. The Advanced version have 9 heat settings instead of the usual 5.
Well worth investment
Purchased on sale, I'd had my eye on some for a while and riding home in the snow the other week sealed the deal. Easy enough to fit, these heated grips are a ray of handlebar sunshine on an otherwise freezing day. They get fantastically hot and have a good feel to the grip surface and size too. I bought the adventure ones but should have bought the shorter sport grips. It was OK though, I risked another 4 mm off the ends without issue, so it's worth checking which ones are right for your bike before buying / installing. No bad comments at this time. Worth watching videos online to prep you for installation, I had to glue the clutch side twice for a secure install.
