So good I bought a second one immediately

Super hot grips. The controller is excellent, far better than anything I had to deal with in the past. With my other set, I spent a lot of time in city traffic, and the grips actually powered down, when before my old grips could actually obliterate my battery if I forgot to turn them off in hours of stop start traffic in the city. It really is a top product.

Heated grips

I bought from the MKstore where I found the staff helpful and polite , the grips them selves are well packaged and come with detailed instructions and appear to be well made , fitting is straight forward it takes longer to work out the best place for the wires to be routed. These are the first heated grips I've had on a bike and are excellent and I'd recommend them , 50% setting is fine on a cool day ,

Early days but seem good so far

Installation was straight forward although I did have a minor snag. Basically I was a bit too generous with the glue, which got between the throttle and handlebar causing resistance. A quick strip down and removing the now dried glue from the handlebar fixed the issue. Otherwise they seem decent quality bits of kit.

Excellent product, and easy fitting.

This is the best set of grips I've ever had. These grip heat up faster than the 2 other pairs I've bought from other manufactures plus messing with switch relays.

Great

They're plenty hot enough to the point were 100% is too hot in some cases (which isn't a problem). Your finger tips can get a little chilly but that's mainly because your using the levers so I imagine longer straight road trips would be perfect with these highly recommend

Dear Santa.... I have been very good this year...

...actually, I've been good so far.. .today...but it's only breakfast time. Hot grips? Fitted Oxford products professionally in our own shop and in more recent retired years, to my own bikes. Yes, there are cheaper..but they are such for a reason. I believe you get what you pay for, mostly anyway. However, I don't purchase a single thing without researching the product first...and not just the product, the retailer too. After all, what good is getting a good priced premium product...if there's no backup from the seller. This brothers and sisters, is where sportsbikeshop wins. Free returns, a real person on the telephone, products in stock and sent by lightning post...all this and price match too if that's your thing. Whether it's grips or boots or a new helmet....you can't go wrong. Oh, and a discount voucher in the box too...for my next purchase.... Don't mind if I do...

Excellent grips

They really DO get hot almost instantly, normally use them on low settings which is more than enough. Easy to install, basically plug'n play, it all depends how deep you want to hide the wiring. I did take the time to remove fuel tank and put it along with the harness of the bike. Touring , Sport etc the difference is the shape and the length which does not really makes a difference as you can always move the brake/clutch lever closer. Recommended

Hot

Installed these on my 1999 fireblade without too much effort. The main selling point was the automatic power off as I didn't want to start cutting into the wiring loom. This works well and goes into low power mode, then completely switches off after 5 mins once the engine is off. The kit comes with everything you will need to install these, and with a little effort you can get a really neat fit with very little visible wiring. The heat is really powerful, and I ended up settling for 50% power on a 8degree November day. 100% is very hot ! Highly recommended, and will hopefully extend the biking season by a couple of months !

Questions and Answers

  • Good day. I have a Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 2018 I was told that my bike has 1 inch dia bars is there away you could confirm this and tell me the best one's for my bike please, there are so many numbers I am not sure which ones to choose from. Thank you for any help you can be.

    January 15, 2019

As far as we are aware, the bars are 22mm diameter, but we would recommend checking this with your Kawasaki dealer. If they do measure 1 inch, the only Oxford grips that would fit will be the Cruiser grips.

  • Can these be used on a Honda cb125F 17 plate?

    January 8, 2019

The Sports or the Touring grips should be fine. The end of the grips may need trimming to fit - the maximum uncut and cut lengths are shown on each item. If you can measure the grips that are already fitted, the ones to purchase are the grips that require the least trimming to fit.

  • Do these grips drain battery? I bought these before and it did kill my battery although I'm not sure if those grips were faulty as they never actually got warm enough when you turned them on. I was told to return them for a refund as there might have been a fault with the heat controller.

    October 29, 2018

The grips should not drain the battery when the engine is running, unless there is a fault with your motorcycle's charging system. If the grips are left on when the ignition is turned off, the controller will sense a drop in the bikes battery voltage, and turn the grips off.
