Motul C5 Chain Paste - 150ml

So much better than spraying it all over the place. Just brushed it on exactly where its meant to be. Didn't fling off whilst bombing round donington. Impressed so far.

After experimenting with all sorts of different brands and types of chain lubes over the years, the motul c5 chain paste is my choice. let's be honest chain maintenance is the least fun we can ever have, but this paste gives the chain that satisfying, fresh from the factory feel and makes less mess - although it's ever so slightly more work to apply it on the chain than spray cans

Been using this paste for a couple of years now, it's easy to apply and clings on even in rain

Tried this for the first time but it made a complete mess of my rear wheel and splattered all over the under side of the seat area of my bike, I will stick to Dry Chain lube in future

The lube itself seem good but the application isn't. Very thick and comes out in a big lump doesn't spread properly on the chain, I'll just stick to the spray

Rather than spray on chain lube that claims won't fling but it does I thought I would try this and I'm impressed. I use an old toothbrush to apply and spread it evenly and into the different surfaces and there's hardly any fling. Will buy again.

I was fed up of lubes not keeping the corrosion at bay especially during the winter commutes. My go to is the xcp professional chain lube which works really well all year round. But was looking for something much more heavy duty and easier to apply with less waste.

5 stars for protection against corrosion.

3 stars for application... Comes with a brush built in which the product has to pass through. Takes a bit of time to apply to ensure even coverage. Once it's on it's on. You'll get odd stringy bits of lube which might fly off on to the rim and tyre edges which leave a waxy residue. It's easy to clean with some washing liquid or cleaner.

Road muck will stick a lil more but nothing to worry about. It's been 4 months, I've just given the chain a wipe and there is still a thin layer of product sitting all around the chain.

No signs of rust even during the salty ice road season.

This is ideal to take when away on the bike on a trip. I never take an aerosol chain spray (too big, and might go off when packed in a bag!). At 22cm long, and with a clear protective cover over the brush applicator, this is ideal for travelling. Great value too at the SBS price.

Really good product, especially for winter conditions. No fling whatsover, and even after 300 miles or so in wet weather, it is still providing a protective coating to the chain.

The bursh applicator is handy for when you're on the go, but it can get clogged up with paste and make it tricky to get the coating on. Would reccomend using a toothbursh to apply.

I usually use XCP or Motul non-fling white stickies on the chain of my (sporty) bike. Motul C5 was great for those long distance touring in wet conditions. Seems to protect the chain through a wider range of scenarios. Easy to apply with the applicator brush on the side of the road too.

Absolute great product . I've used several different chain lubes etc .. and this is by far the best . So easy to put on and also does make a massive diffenrce in the running of the chain .

Not only a respected brand, this is in an ideal shape ad sized tube for touring. Easy to apply with a securely fitting lid to ensure no grease leaks out!

I've always used gear oil or chainsaw oil on my chains, decided to give this a go and it's great. Sticks to the chain virtually no fling, I don't hang about either. Excellent service from Sportsbikeshop as usual.
