TecMate OptiMate DC to DC Battery Optimiser (SAE)

I got this to use for my motorcycle to keep the battery topped up while it is not used much over the winter. It seems to be working well using a 100 Ah leisure battery as the source. It is pretty much "plug and play" to use.

My only criticism would be that the instruction sheet is rather obscure, there are almost 5 pages of closely typed warnings tellling you that batteries off-gas hydrogen and you'll blow yourself up if you get it wrong. Only after that does it tell you useful stuff. I don't want to down play safety information but if they want folk to just ignore the instructions altogether then this is probably a good way to do it.

This is a great product for trickle charging a motorbike battery is a garage with no power supply. Really easy to use and good instructions (although easier to watch on YouTube ) Just hook up to a larger battery and then connect to the motorbike battery. I used the O Rings. No need to jump start the motorbike anymore!

My garage is separate from my house so has no power. Purchased previous model 6 years ago for my Mille - never had a problem starting in all that time. New RSV4 Factory was delivered last week so had to buy another. Both coupled to a Leisure Battery which also powers the lights. Great solution to my problem.
