I bought this to replace the older version of my Optimate as my new bike has a Lithium battery and it wasn't the correct charger. I pre-ordered it from Sportsbikeshop and collected the following day. Very easy to set up, basically just 'plug and play'. A great bit of kit and always friendly guys at Boston Sportsbikeshop. Strongly recommend.

This product comes with a range of accessories and connections. Having a BMW and another bike I was able to use the Canbus connection for the BMW, and the provided battery connection for my other ride enabling the Optimate to be swapped quickly and easily between the two bikes. The optimate is incredibly easy to use and works very efficiently. I highly recommend it.

I ride a BMW R1200RT which has the CAN-BUS system therefore I need a charger that can handle that. This optimate does, I just plug in through the din plug off the fairing and that's it. No need to strip the bike, connect messy wiring to the battery. It is easy and just works. I know my battery is being maintained properly.

I know it's alot of money, but it is going to do a good job looking after your battery. I have used loads over the years, But i would say this will be the best. Easy to set up, for both types of batteries, Lots of connetion options, I bought this because I could plug into my GS DIN socket.
Had it 2 weeks now and all good.
