TecMate OptiMate 4 Quad Program 12V Battery Optimiser

Bought it to update an earlier version. More options, but not needed for my battery. Charges fine and indicates the stages - I need to use the booklet to remember what's happening!

I purchased this to replace my existing optimate charge which I’ve owned for 20 years now but was incapable of charging a lithium ion battery.
Stupidly I had put my new bike away before winter and not attached a trickle charger. I purchased this and it done a full battery restore from dead back to 100% in around 24 hours. Very impressed and would highly recommend

The obvious choice a newer model seem to do the job so far with a few more flashing lights

Instructions seem a little daunting at first. Ended up just plugging it in and it works perfectly at trickle charging battery

Having just changed my bike to a new BMW with lithium battery, I had to scrap my older optimate, I checked compatibility with the Preston store team and bought this one, only slight negative is uneven rear surface making it a little trickier to wall mount on breeze block, glued a piece of ply to wall which solved it

Tried and tested last for years bought as replacement for 30 year old original optimale hopefully just as reliable and does exactly as it s supposed to do as I ve purchased 3!! Great service from sportsbikeshop as usual thanks

Very easy to use straight out of the box and I really like that it comes with different connection options.
I can’t say exactly how fast it charges, but it brought my battery back to life without any issues and gives clear feedback on what it’s doing. Feels well made and safe to leave connected as I left it overnight.

I’ve now got 1 of these on each of my 3 bikes. I plug them in, leave it til next time (whether a day or 3 months) and the bike starts first time next time I use it. Simple.

I really like the fact that this version is switchable between battery types, this is a very useful update.
Sportsbikeshop service is as good as always, I have used them several times.

Lots of different ways to install this onto your bike. That s probably going to be the hardest part - deciding how to wire it up and where to run the wires. I went straight to the battery leaving the connector out to one side cable tied to the frame. After riding I plug the device in and turn on the power. It carries out a quick systems check and then starts its business. Will work on most types of batteries and apparently can recover flat batteries although with this running you should never need to find out. I m very happy that I bought it and at Sportsbikeshop as it was the cheapest at the time of purchase.
