Reviews The popular minimalist sat-nav is back with a second generation model that will have wider appeal than the original

Customers share mixed experiences about the Moto 2's quality and functionality as a navigation device. Many appreciate its compact design, ease of use, and clear display, making it ideal for motorbikes. Some highlight improvements over its predecessor, like faster updates in dense areas and better charging options. However, criticisms include software limitations, reliance on a phone connection, subscription costs for certain features, and occasional device malfunctions. Overall, while some find it a worthwhile enhancement, others point out areas needing development.
I link iPhone app , great and easy to link, when mark 3 is distributed I hope it may come with a optional locking mechanism, as I forget sometimes to remove it when parked.
Portable and unobtrusive basic satnav which works well for both motorcycles and cars alike. My only quibble would be the mounting options for a sports bike are quite limited if your bike does not have a top fairing support. I have purchased the Beeline steering stem mount for my machine but I find that this positions the display too low and away from my line of sight so I will instead look into making something that is a little more suitable.
Looks small but deceiving as gives great visual without getting in the way
The Beeline is so simple to use and the battery seems to last for ages.
The first one I received had a button fault which was very quickly dealt with by Sportsbikeshop and replaced without any fuss.
I was looking to buy this product for awhile then saw this unbelievable offer from the Sportsbikeshop, with, not only a good discount on the Beeline but a free bar mount thrown in. Fast delivery, very pleased, will use again.
For the price point it is a good quality navigation device. Setup as easy provided you have a smartphone and signal. It detaches easily from the bike and lives in my jacket pocket. Build quality is good and it suits both classic and modern bikes. The charge time is fast and battery life more than sufficient for a full day’s ride. I find it easy to understand and follow, city centres can be more challenging, but it is doable. This is my second purchase, buying it as a Christmas gift. I have owned the rev1 and rev 2 model and have used both for multi-day trips in the UK and Europe, for 6000 miles, without issue. Would recommend.
Less bulky than the usual sat nav but gets you there
Held off on getting one of these for a while, but there was a good deal going with a free carry case and bar mount at the time also. Aside from those free items I am really happy with it, simple use, simple set up, quality feel. On the short run out I have given it on the bike so far, happy with it's operation as well.
Great product. I already have one got this for my son for Xmas. It’s transformed my rides
I’ve been using the Beeline app on my mounted phone over the summer, and it has been working well. I really like the simplified display and the routing options that are specifically for riding rather than assuming you are in a car. However, I started touring, in wetter weather, and found the phone totally impractical. First, the battery runs out on the phone in under an hour and keeping the phone charged is not practical for long, high speed journeys. I have a usb lead on my bike, but it kept vibrating out and then I started getting “moisture in the usb socket” errors and it would not charge. The battery died midway through my journey leaving me with no phone and no satnav. Also, it’s impossible to control the touch screen in winter gloves. I had several issues, including the phone locking itself, where I had to pull over every time I needed to sort the phone out. With all these hardware problems I decided to get the Beeline Moto 2 and all these issues have been resolved. The display is great (better than the phone app). The battery life is about 4 hours and I have had no problems with the usb plug. Also, you can control it with gloves on with the physical buttons and it is compact so takes up much less space on the bars. My only negative is that you need to buy the premium subscription service to get live traffic info but I can live without that.
Easy to use, clear and accurate. I've not tried the add-on subscription yet as don't ride in the winter.
I bought this because I don t want to use my phone as a satnav anymore. Was super easy to install and set up. Gave it a go, took hardly any time to get used to it. Really like it super minimal and not distracting but got me to where I need to be. Great addition to my bike. Great service from SBS as usual
Really easy to use looks good and superb battery life ?
Compact design and ideal for retro and naked machines.
It does take awhile to get used to BUT has a fit when dealing with complicated Junctions. Was given advice by fellow user and got used to it; Like the way it either beeps at you and follows up with flashes from LED when you need to make a decision where to go. The display is very clear. Hopefully the mapping will improve further through updates in future. Downside the battery life is rather optimistic claims on the box 12-14 hours. 8-10 hours i reckon on my use. which is enough. Easily chargeable thorough usb C cable. has been a recent update too. On the whole it does the job. good for basic navigation and entry. but if you need more info then either use tom tom or garmin type device? Sport Bike shop were very efficient with my order too :-)
this product dose everything you need nothing you don't it needs nothing but your phone you can move it from bike to bike or like me I even in my car now,
love it and wish I'd got one sooner
Small, powerful and does the job well.
Gives enough info for directions at junctions, roundabouts either in town or out on the twisties.
No need for massive mount, loads of wires or a headset.
Superb piece of kit and miles (or kilometers) better than the original.
A must buy.
Brilliant bit of kit even if only used as spare for emergency, very good price
