Flipfront helmets are among the most practical options on the market. Let us guide you through the best options...
Customers express mixed opinions about the Neotec 3 helmet. While a majority appreciate its quality design, comfort, and improved features like ventilation and sun visor, some find the upgrades minimal compared to the Neotec 2. Challenges arise with the chin strap length, visor mechanism, and lack of transition visor options. However, it's often praised for reduced wind noise and adaptability with intercom systems. Despite its high price, customers generally perceive it as a worthy investment for premium riding comfort and protection.
I bought this helmet first of all because it’s so much easier when you go to the petrol station to communicate with the attendant and when you are out riding and you just want to have a conversation or just lift the front of the helmet up , I also bought the integrated come system so I can hear my navigation or even listen to some music when I am just cruising along and you can decide if you want or need to answer that phone call, and just look at it it looks fantastic even the black looks like carbon fibre. The colours are so vibrant you want something that’s going to stand out and be more visible to other motorists of that there is no doubt whatsoever make yourself visible as possible. It may not be cheap but you will be buying the one thing that is most important to your safety.?
SHOEI quality. Great fit, very comfortable and fully featured. My first ever flip front, and I'm extremely impressed. Quite expensive but will give years of great service.
I always used shark helmets before but after reading reviews and speaking to other owners I tried on in store and ordered online with usual ease of SBS arrived next day once you get used to visor adjustments etc it becomes part of you it’s comfortable and very quiet top vent is great only downside I find is not much venting from the bottom vent all in all very pleased 5stars
I've had many helmets over the years but only 2 Shoei. First the J-Cruise, now the Neotec 3.
The Neotec 3 fits like it was designed for my specific head. Even if I didn't wear earplugs it'd still be very quiet. It is pricey, but it's quality and I only have 1 head so it's worth the cost
Extra padding making it more insulated against wind noise, protects your under chin with extra padding under the chin strap.
The sun visor is better than the neotec 2 in my opinion
Yet to try out the Sena SRL system ..
A great upgrade to an already great helmet
Perfect flip up helmet with a good number of visor positions.
Nice design, easy to use and wear, flip lock is reassuringly solid, does a decent job on wind noise, inbuilt sun visor works well. Just a very good lid.
I was apprehensive to update my old Shoei Neotec but it had started to fall apart after 9 years of use. The new Neotec 3 was delivered to my house within 3 days, well packaged. Didn't have chance to break it in before week long tour of France. The flip is extremely useful for peripheral vision in cities, and it ratchets up firmly in place. I like how the visor locks shut now with a push button release system. Really quiet in fast roads, and good ventilation. I use a Cardo system with mine and it was easy to migrate from the old lid to this. I didn't use Shoeis proprietary system. Despite not breaking this lid in before my trip it's amazingly comfortable even after 5-6 hours wear per day in hot conditions. It stood up well to the rain in England too. All in all, very pleased.
This helmet is really comfortable, I find it a great fit, and it’s quiet with the chin bar clicked soundly into place. It’s clever, with several positions for the visor to open to, and two positions for the chin bar to raise to, with the top position requiring a really firm movement to lock into open or to pull down to closed. The built in dark visor is super-helpful when the sun is in your face and you have a clear visor on. It’s lighter than my Arai too. I don’t get asked to remove it at petrol stations anymore, and facial recognition on my phone works too! All in all, I’m very pleased with this purchase.
This helmet is outstandingly comfortable and I have the new intercom that fits inside which keeps the look of the helmet very tidy.
Great fit and easy to use and setup the sena integrated intercom
The helmet is fantastic
and the fitment is excellent as was the staff at the Glasgow depot there very attention to detail and friendly and helpful and knowledable about the products there selling
Firstly I wanted to say that my experience in the Preston store was brilliant. I was able to spend as long as I wanted with the helmet on making sure it fit correctly. The guys installed a smaller skull cap insert to get a better fit, and now I have a very quiet comfortable helmet. Well worth the time.. Helmet lives up to expectations, which for Shoei are very high.
I have had this helmet ever since they were released, so long enough to have come to a conclusion. Firstly it's a Shoei, so usual quality and comfort, had a GT air before this and the main selling point for me on both helmets, the flip down dark visor in the helmet, brilliant feature. Things I don't like about this, visor is way too thick and it distorts, gets worse when it is ajar, ride with it open all the time. Chin piece is a bit of plastic. Strap is too far back, if you have it as tight as it should be, it gets a bit strangly. First helmet I have ever owned without a gold stamp, put me off Shoei as a brand going back to Arai next time.
This is a top quality helmet, well made and an improvement on previous versions. I booked a personal fitting service with Sue at Milton Keynes. Sue did an amazing job and made sure the helmet was a perfect fit. Top service from SBS as it always is.
Loved the colour combo, got a orange Rebel se, also the design (not having to remove helmet in petrol station a big bonus, and when riding into village , open face option. fits like a glove.. great value for money
Another good helmet from Shoei. The only bad point is the visor locking catch which I found awkward to open left handed with gloves.
Upgrading from Neotec 1 found Neotec 3 is slightly quieter
