The Shoei NXR2 is a brilliant upgrade to the original NXR, with improved safety features and an impressive 5-star SHARP safety rating. It’s incredibly comfortable to wear, feels slightly lighter than the previous model, and offers good wind noise management, making it easy and comfortable to listen to music on longer rides if that’s something you enjoy.
The overall quality and finish are exactly what you’d expect from Shoei, with excellent attention to detail throughout. The fit is superb, and the helmet feels secure without compromising on comfort. I also absolutely love the graphics on this one—they really stand out and give the helmet a premium look.
Overall, the NXR2 is a fantastic helmet that combines safety, comfort, and great styling. Highly recommended.
Just to add that it comes with a clear visor. I bought a separate photochromic visor as you can see on pictures

I'd wanted an AGV helmet initially but on trying one on in the store it was a bad fit. After trying on many different helmets this Shoei one was a great fit. I'd asked Paul for some help choosing a helmet and with the fitting because this was my first helmet. Can't thank him enough, he was a great help in getting me the perfect helmet for my head, he's a credit to Sportsbikeshop, thanks Paul. I returned for the Shoei PFS in store which again was great. The helmet is super comfy even after a few hours of wearing it. Plenty of vents to keep the head cool in the recent hot weather.

I recently bought the shoei NXR2, with photochromic visor (which is fantastic). It took me a while to make my mind up, and the store didn't mind me ordering me in a few to try! The staff in here are amazing, so helpful and friendly. They also gave me the best price out of everyone, plus the advice I needed to decide on my new lid! I'm a customer for life now

Great product, a much needed and well overdue upgrade on my previous helmet. This one is so quiet compared to my old KGV, field of view is fantastic and so light. Very happy with it. There is a slight air flow that can't be stopped thats only slightly annoying on a very cold day but otherwise perfect.

My first Shoei helmet and I am a convert. Very comfortable to wear. Light weight. Low wind noise. The locking visor is very convenient. The free custom padding setup in store guarantees the perfect fit.

Upgraded from an NXR and it just felt familiar but improved! I tried an Arai Quantic (nice fit but too many plastic bits), AGV K6S (completely the wrong shape for me), HJC RHPA-12 (really nice but not such a good fit), but knew the Shoei was right immediately. If you know an NXR fits, then it’s tough to improve on. Big fan of the NXR and Sportsbikeshop.

Another helmet, another Shoei - but why? Having owned numerous quality helmets from different manufacturers in the past, none fit this reviewer as well as Shoei. Build quality is superb, vents and visor systems work as they should, all day comfortable and a five year warranty. My go-to helmet brand. Highly recommended.

Fits really well on the inside and looks good on the outside too. Helmet misted up before attaching the free Pinlock, but since fitting it, it’s never happened. Shame about the double d-ring on the chin strap, should have come with a better fastener for the price. But still worth the money.
