I bought this because the online reviews of the M1 airbag said it was fiddly to connect using the supplied fastener. Took me a short time to work out that if you position the D ring (fastened under my seat) vertically, this clips the airbag on if you have the mechanism open. I attached my D ring and then put my panniers in place and then thought it wouldn't reach but it does if you use the extended fitting under the seat. It is then easy to close, even with gloves. De-attaching is easier still as you push the 2 metal lugs in and you're free. I fettled over a long ride stopping for fuel etc :-)

The quick release replaces the standard trigger cable carabiner of the Fast Lock. The quick release allows hooking and unhook the Fast Lock to the "D" ring belt on the bike in a semi-automatically way. It is very practical, especially with gloves.
