Advice & Guides Riding doesn’t have to mean restricting yourself to your own headspace, thanks to comms system that let you stay in touch with passengers, riding buddies and your phone…
The Cardo Spirit HD intercom system garners enthusiasm from customers for its ease of use and robust features. The sound quality impresses, providing clear music and call audio, even at high speeds. Many customers express satisfaction with its functionalities, such as seamless integration with voice assistants, radio, and sat nav. Installation might require some repositioning in helmets, but the setup process is largely considered straightforward. Customers appreciate its performance, compact design, and the cost-effective upgrade compared to more expensive options, making it a top choice for enhancing the riding experience.
Not mesh, but can be set up to talk to other riders with Bluetooth within a few hundred metres on a ride out. Easy to fit to my son's Nolan helmet. He loves it. It is connected to his phone and bike for directions, calls, etc. Easy to use, too.
The cardo is perfect in every way no need to say anything else
Really easy to fit. Sound quality is absolutely superb. Microphone quality is great too.
Bought it for the Bluetooth headset capabilities.
Works great! Can't speak to the intercom features as a purely solo rider.
Easy to connect and set up, however a constant pain is the number of times the signal just drops out, always on a critical part of a ride when you want to stay connected to the other rider. You're then left repeatedly pressing the button to try and reconnect. Sometimes it seems only one rider has the ability to start the reconnection which is infuriating. The design is good, they look neat and easy fit to your helmet, the sticky pads are more than adequate for the job, or you can use the tray which clips up and into your helmet. They are very light, and easy enough to operate, after a few rides easy to get to grips with. The audio is good enough, I never listen to music or take calls when riding but if that's your thing these will do that well enough. Range is adequate but not the best. IMO they work best when your riding with a pillion, less problems.
Purchased this as I needed a unit to communicate with another rider and I wasn't sure the brand he used. I was sold on the fact it would pair with any bluetooth system which some of the others would not do. I was not disappointed, it was easy to set up and the pairing system was simple and literally took seconds to do. The sound quality is excellent, even with earplugs, and although I didn't buy it to listen to music I now find myself doing exactly that. It also paired with my iPhone with no problems and it works with SIRI very smoothly so I rarely have to touch the unit itself. For an 'entry level unit' and at this price point I feel its excellent value.
Nice build quality, very easy to install and the sound from the 40mm speakers are excellent. Compared to others at triple the price I'd buy the cardo HD anytime, obviously it depends on your needs but bike to bike or pillion 100%.
I like that it's fitted to my Neotec 3 and is reasonably unobtrusive, however, I find turning it on with one hand a bit fiddly compared with my previous Sena unit. The sound from the satnav is a bit low but that's not the Cardo's fault. I'd recommend this as an affordable and practical option.
Geeat to have a bit of pink floyd in my ear
I needed a simple but good quality intercom for a new helmet, ever since they ve been out Cardo for me have been the best, the Spirit hd is easy to fit and went out this morning for ride, accompanied by the Brandenberg concerto on the fm radio, brilliant sonic reproduction on the hd speakers, both working as opposed to other makes. I wouldn t buy any other makes.
Perfect piece of equipment. Does what it says. Highly recommend at a great price.
Works well and definitely sounds great. Don’t automatically answer calls which I thought it was supposed to do. Maybe I need to mess around with the settings a bit more
I bought this unit, primarily for listening to music and audio books whilst riding, rather than as a communication tool. The very helpful staff at Sportsbikeshop in Norwich fitted the unit for me and getting it set up as very simple. It's seems to work pretty well, with good sound quality up to about 60mph, although after that wind noise can become a bit intrusive. I use the unit with ear plugs, which works fine, although you have to turn the volume up fairly high to maintain the sound level. All in all, it's not perfect, but pretty good considering it's a model at the cheaper end of the Cardo range.
It’s so easy to install controls are easy to use aswell fit my Nolan n60-6 sport like a glove over all love it
Works ok so far, makes a fantastic change with the music & staying in touch with family
Easy install and decent sound.
Been looking for awhile I must admit this is a lovely headset. It works really well. The same quality is a lot better than I thought it would be did not drop out at any point of time on any of the rides I have been on lately so good quality ease of use does exactly what it says on the box.

It sure does support voice commands.
This is a Bluetooth-only intercom, and it s limited to pairing to just one other rider, with a limited range also. Being able to link to another biker should therefore not be the main reason to buy this particular device.
Find it cheaper at any major motorcycle accessory retailer, online or in-store and we‘ll match it.
