Cardo Spirit HD Bluetooth Intercom - Duo

I only needed to chat with pillion as I have no need to talk to other riders. Sound system is very clear. I found rage to be well short of the 600 Metre they claim. On test we have done anything after 110 Meters id almost none functioning. This was measured on Google Earth with clear line of site fully charged. Radio is okay and works well nice tone. Very easy to set up even for a no computer man like me. I rode back 130 miles in heavy rain and found unit still perfect. If you just want. a simple easy to use intercom for pillion this is perfect. Sales staff at Birmingham recommended this unit and they were 100% right.

Absolute game changer. Wish I had got this earlier. Was a bit confusing to put into the helmet but once I watched the how to video it made a lot more sense.

This is my first intercom unit and after 30 years of motorcycling without one, it's been something of a revelation and I can't believe I haven't had one before now.
Previously I have used bluetooth ear buds to play music and connect to my phone for navigation purposes and thought that was good. I always thought intercoms were just for talking to passengers and other riders, something I don't do. Having bought a new Honda with 'RoadSync' , on the recommendation of the guys at the Honda dealership, I thought I would give an intercom system a go. So I did the research and watched lots of online reviews and decided I didn't want to spend lots of money on my first set in case it's not right for me.
Well, the first time I used it to connect to my bike I was really impressed in every respect, the ease in which it connected to my phone and the bike, the quality of the sound and the easy to use controls on the unit itself.
Fitting to my Nolan helmet was quick and easy too. All in all I'm really happy with this Cardo system and can't believe I haven't used on before now. I know there are more expensive units out there and they may be even better than this one, but if like me it's either your first time using one or you don't want to spend lots of money, I highly recommend this.

The sound quality is great, even while going along. The intercom works amazing and never cuts out. The FM radio is really good.

This was to replace an Ejeas X6 Pro from AliExpress as that unit picked up road noise constantly which my riding buddy was getting a little sick of. So, it fits easily enough with a slight concern about the size of the connector I had to house in the helmet. Turned out okay though. Setting up was simple enough provided you read the instructions carefully. The volume needs turning up every time it starts up, with GPS starting particularly low. The GPS unit was on full volume to compensate. The only real issue was the interference from GPS during a phone call. It’s so bad that the caller just ends with ‘call me when you get there’. Maybe I’ve set up something incorrectly but I don’t think so. I’ll experiment further. Over the 1700 miles I’ve used it so far, it’s been okay and battery life is great. It’s very handy that the unit is easily detachable for charging too. As always, a speedy delivery from SBS :-)

Even with ear plugs this is a great system to use

Sound good for listening to seventies rock tracks on the move. I can hear the satellite navigation commands even with earplugs in. The only downside is as with all technology learning how to use all the different options is a massive learning curve for me. I can’t for instance get make calls on it as it says you can, but that said if you’re under 40 you probably know this instinctively.

The cardo HD Spirit system was easy to fit to both helmets, a slight readjustment for one ear piece which was easily rectified. The sound quality is very clear when connected by Bluetooth. The cardo worked well during a phone call when we were not together. For now only been used as rider and pillion but this will be tested further as I will be on my own bike soon!

It was a real pain to get to talk to my wife’s helmet , our phones and our bikes. I struggled with the instructions and in the end I relied upon the Norwich store to help. They were fantastic and did it all in about 20 minutes and not a problem since. So once it’s working it’s great as we don’t need the facilities of other models. Ie just chat to each other and music via apple CarPlay. Range is ok about 1/2 mile with reconnecting simples!

What a brilliant buy, so pleased with purchase and ability to talk during the ride. Music and phone options are good to have.
Little bit fiddly to get used to pairing but once mastered, it is very easy.

I wanted the HD speakers to improve the quality and sound whilst riding, this one works great. Fitted on my Bell Race Star, speakers go nicely in the ear pockets and the mic fits nicely along the side to the front space.

bought and owned for about a month, works great and is a great upgrade from the crappy £10 amazon intercom, alot of features but sounds a tiny bit tinny at higher volumes

I fitted this myself to a helmet and it works great, sounds good, has a good battery life, and for a unit at the bottom end of the price scale you can't go wrong. I would still be using it, but had another coms unit fitted to a newer helmet when i bought it on a deal, so hardly use this now, but it's there in case, and id have no hesitation i getting another if needed.
