Ignore the touring claims and this smart jacket from Rev'it has a lot going for it...
I've worn the Outback 4 for nearly 3,000 miles, it was a replacement for another brand's jacket which started falling apart.
The jacket has been great in everything from near zero-degree cold, torrential rain, 30 C heat.
My only gripes are that the collar press-stud is absolutely crap to get right, and the cuffs can sometimes catch on the Boa dial on Knox Orsa gloves.
This jacket really good and lives up to Rev It’s reputation. Well designed( ventilation flaps work really well) I like the Napoleon pocket to ( easy to open/ close with gloves on) I’m a slim build (6.0””) and got the XXL size (working off my previous Rev’it jacket) I like the fit though might manage an XL. Winter wise it’s perfect. They simplified the attachments for the two inserts (waterproof and thermal) too My only real criticism is that the poppers they have used for closures are harder to use than the original ones
I like all my motorcycle kit to be so comfortable that when I'm riding I don't have to think about wearing it. For me that is essential for my safety as nothing should detract from riding. This jacket certainly does that mainly down to the high levels of adjustment. The many pockets are cleverly designed & the zips & closers work well with gloved hands. The vents are work well especially in traffic just let enough fresh & cool air through the jacket. The attention to detail & quality of the materials used are noticeable. Very pleased with my purchase.
I know this is an expensive jacket but I only wanted one jacket (and trousers) that could be used all year round, and I found that this jacket ticks all the boxes. The fit, cut, quality of construction and sizing is spot on. I am 6'1" tall, 40/42" chest with long arms and this jacket in size L fits me perfectly. The size chart is accurate. I put the Revit back armour in and having had a jacket with the Oxford armour in I would say that the Revit jacket and armour combination is far more comfortable. I would say, save your pennies and get this jacket. I really recommend it. I have the trousers too and they fit so comfortable too.
Jacket is excellent quality, has inner thermal lining and separate waterproof lining which can both be attached to the jacket independently as the clips fit for both items, fit and finish are top notch as expected with Revit, a little fidgety and time consuming securing all the fastenings but plan your ride and you should not have to change the setup, not yet worn out on a ride but guessing I'm not going to have too many issues.
Warm, waterproof, relatively light, plenty of pockets and ventilation, draught free. With the two liners (thermal and waterproof) it's flexible for all round use. Discrete reflective panels aid night time visibility without looking like a road worker.
