Give your fingers a treat with the right pair of winter gloves...
Exactly what I wanted, if you can go try a pair in store, go do so, these gloves run small in size. They're warm but heat up only the back of the hand.
I don't particularly like the gators as they are tight makes it difficult to put on. Need to turn inside out then roll back. If I forget than it is a faff.
The heat output is average for a battery unit.
But it was the cheapest so I got what I paid for.
I've not tried them in really cold temperatures yet but I have in wind and rain. They stay warm and dry and easy to use.
They are a bit big and bulky and can be hard to use zips. The battery is in the top of the cuff, so getting your jacket sleeve over can be problem but there is an elasticated in sleave that prevents water running into the glove.
Overall very happy with them.
The Ion gloves are quite a nice pair. The construction feels pretty robust without being stiff. The glove itself is already nice and warm, the heating element helps to keep your hands comfortable on cold days. I haven't fully tested the limits of the gloves but they worked well on a -2C day on the lowest setting, keeping the worst of the cold out and sensation in my fingers.
The waterproofing of the gloves seems good, however the cuffs are very bulky with the battery installed which made tucking them into my jacket impossible, leading to water running down my sleeves into the gloves on a very rainy commute, still stayed warm though.
Well made product, slightly long in the fingers, but then maybe mine are a bit short! Very effective heating, nice and toasty in these cold mornings.
