ACF-50 Anti Corrosion Lubricant 13oz Aerosol
Customer Product Reviews
ACF 50 is the best one to go for if you need a good quality anti corrosion spray. Use it all over anything you want to protect through the winter. To make it go further and create less mess and waste spray it onto a rag first, then keep the rag handy in a plastic bag.
Title says it all - wouldn't be without this stuff now. Pretty much does it all, from keeping the rust off to cleaning up plastics/metals. Next time I'll probably get the larger bottle with the spray rather than aerosol however.
The ACF50 seems to be good stuff, leaving an oily film behind to protect what you put it on, smell is comparable to a light oil like WD40. In hindsight, I wish I'd bought the non-aerosol version, as the aerosol sprayer sort of foams out, rather than spraying a fine mist - great for some point-applications, not so great if you're wanting to cover a greater area of nooks and crannies (for example in and around heatsinks, which you can't just spread the product around easily with a cloth)
Best you can buy
I've been using ACF50 for years and if you apply it correctly then it's brilliant at protecting your pride and joy from salt, dirt and road grime and makes i so much easier to clean the next time you have to. I find that applying it liberally in all the engine and hard to get at places then wipe over with a clean cloth and continue using that cloth and a lighter film over everything else does the trick and stops the dirt from sticking to the ACF50 and protects eveywhere.
Top top product.
Used this after getting salt corrosion to the aluminium on my Harley. After cleaning used ACF50 for protection which is the best stuff I have ever used after 40 years riding at last I have found something that does what is say it will do.
Tried many others - this is the best
I've used ACF50 for a long time. I recently tried various other products and after doing so have returned to ACF50. It works so well and is I think the best product to properly protect a bike and keep it looking good. I always warm the can in warm water before use and give it a good shake too. It's good to keep an old rag soaked in ACF50 for wiping around the bike after spraying it on.
Every Bike Garage Needs This
Absolutely essential in the British climate - especially through the winter. Yes, it can make things a little messy when applied liberally but really does keep the salt damage and bad weather corrosion to a minimum. Just don't get it on your brake discs :)
