It's light, it's laminated... but you'll need armour...
Lightweight compared to many yet warm and you know it will keep you dry bring from RUKKA. Plenty of vents for summer and adjustments all over the place to make a perfect fit. If you want the best go for this model as it's reasonably priced and can add the additional armour as you need piece by piece or the full kit including: chest, shoulders, elbows and back. Brilliant piece of kit.
All in all, I'm delighted. My autumn use has been in both warmer and wetter conditions, all good.
+ Quality & warranty.
+ Adjustability (arms, waist, neck)
+ Lots of venting (arms, jacket front & rear).
+ Soft lighter-weight fabric than most all-year use jackets.
+ Therefore great for layering, if you want that.
+ The armour (extra cost) is wider than most, great protection.
+ Should give at least 6-10yrs use I reckon.
- Large size (52) good for me (42" chest) but it's quite large in the arms (thankfully there's 2 sets of arm pop-stud adjustment)
- Not cheap even at the SBS sale price. Bus still good value considering all this and the unmatched warranty.
- Pockets not waterproof (but none ever are in my experience)
Very fast delivery , perhaps smaller fitting than other Rukka jackets
Going on trip to France so will no its performance after that
Very comfy, soft jacket.
The material is so soft.
Good ventilation options.
For the colder morning, around 6c I wear my Rukka Down.
But, up around 16+ it's a dream.
The shoulders do seem a little large, even with armour fitted.
Shame it has no armour supplied by default.
Sportsbikeshop as always, so helpful in choosing jacket, it was between this and the Klim Calrsdab
Just needed to go up a size, to allow for a few extra layers and armour.
I have a husqvarna rukka coat in a 2xl fits perfectly with body armour underneath purchase the new version in same size and not as good quality and fitting is too tight
If you are after a comfortable lighter weight jacket then this Rukka is certainly worth consideration. It has a soft outer shell with a myriad of venting, pockets and adjustments . For me at 6'2" and 42" chest fits true to size as a Large. No inner liner as standard but I purchased the Rukka Down-X 2.0 to provide a mid layer. Don't forget to add the armour as this jacket does not come with any.
