News Cardo's intercoms are already hugely popular, and their new range-topping Packtalk Edge promises a huge haul of tech improvements

Customers are generally impressed with the Cardo Packtalk Edge, praising its sound quality, connectivity, and ease of use. Many find it superior to other brands and previous models. Highlights include excellent voice commands, clear communications, and strong battery life. Users appreciate its durable build, waterproof design, and reliable magnetic mounting system. Some minor issues like confusing instructions, occasional need for repeated voice commands, and speaker size are mentioned. Overall, the Packtalk Edge is highly recommended for its features and performance.
Me and my mate both have them never have any issues with them they never drop out and plenty of different uses from radio and bluetooth
I have a different brand of mesh intercom that I have on my helmet I use for touring with my biker family . I wanted another intercom with a radio but still with mesh . I did a lot of research and found the Cardo pack talk edge had every thing I wanted . It’s expensive but has a lot of tech on it . I found it on line for a great price and
Contacted sport bike shop and they matched the price and delivered the next day great service . Found the Cardo well made and with loads of wiring so no pulled wiring inside the helmet . The app was easy to download load and set up with the intercom.
Love the just how the intercom just uses magnets to connect to the holder . The buttons on the side are to small to use with gloves on but doesn’t matter as you just say hey Cardo and you can adjust up and down the volume or turn the radio on and off and many more commands . The speakers are quality clear and sound brilliant. I haven’t tried out the mesh system yet . I have connected up my phone and sat nav which works well with the Bluetooth. My other intercom has a two year warranty and the Cardo has 3 years warranty.,comparing both intercoms the Cardo wins by a mile . I wish I had brought one sooner .
Excellent product. Bought with a helmet so also had the discount. No other company could beat the price.
Packtalk edge early days takes a bit of getting used to voice recognition can be a bit hit or miss seem to get the radio come on with most voice commands which is a bit annoying hoping this is user error so will persevere for now. Sound is great very clear pairing with other riders seems simple enough simple to install
This is my first Cardo, previously used Sena.
Very straightforward to use, connects with other riders via mesh seamlessly, the enhanced speakers are excellent. My only issue is the natural voice commands, at best its average, I find it very inconsistent. I’ve subsequently been told that the unit eventually gets used to your voice, then it’s fully functional, I’m not convinced.
Had the bold previously and this is a much better product with longer battery life and improved coms reception. Easy setup for large / multiple group membership.
The buttons are hard to operate with gloves on
Super simple to set up and use, with integrated voice command or physical button control if preferable. Truly all day (10+ hours) battery performance and neat magnetic mount lock. Only negative which suspect is true of all systems, is the true range between unit off road is limited in woodland trails. I’d waited years before pulling pin for a two up two week tour in advance of a two week enduro trip and very glad I did. Gone with the frustrated hand signals! lol
Great product that s simple and intuitive to use. Mesh connectivity works smoothly, and overall performance is solid. As usual, SBS delivered excellent service, making the whole experience even better.
Bought the twin pack, absolutely fantastic. The ease of how the unit comes off the cradle and onto it is sooooo simple and easy, sound clarity is excellent, I can also control my go pro through the headset to start stop and capture video and pictures, share my music with others and visa versa.
HIGHLY recommend this product
Great bit of kit. I’ve been using consistently for around 4 months. Great battery life, really simple to fit yourself in to your helmet. The sound quality is really good and clear. I even wear earplugs and have no issues hearing. The voice commands are great and I would recommend to set these up to answer calls etc when riding. I really like the functionality and ability to change the volume with the roll wheel , even when wearing gloves. I’ve only connected to two other riders at the same time but the process was easy and the connectivity distance is more than enough for group riding. Love the kit and would recommend highly.
Whilst the product looks good, seems robust and I love the magnetic quick connect, I cannot say that I am overly impressed with Cardo Packtalk Edge and especially the pretty penny it cost.
I previously used the Interphone CellularLine Sport (still have it and still going strong after 8.5 years!) which still has a longer battery life than the brand new Packtalk Edge! A few annoying Cardo issues ... the radio just randomly comes on and equally, the mic can also randomly get muted!! Never an issue with Interphone. The range seems on par with my old unit, but the quality of voice is not so good at range compared to my old one. The buttons are really hard to feel with gloves on, apart from the scroll wheel. Volume is a huge issue - I have on many occasions nearly had my eardrums blown when going from comms with my mate to an incoming call from the missus!! I just don't understand why they cannot engineer a single volume for ALL?!!!
Mounting plate was a royal pain - I had to purchase some decent 3M double-sided foam tape to build up a curved surface to mount in the best position - again, the mount for the Interphone did not require this and stuck solid for a good 7.5 years and was a b*gger to get off.
To be honest, I'd still be using my old unit if not for the fact that you can't buy them any longer and my mate invested in the new Interphone, and my son needed a comms unit too.
I shall not purchase another Cardo if I can help it - unless they make some serious improvements!
Went to the Birmingham store looking to buy a Sena to replace my old unit. After asking some questions and with some great advice I decided to buy a pair of these Cardo packtalks for me and my partner.
We have used them for a few months now and we both love them. quality of the item is brilliant the audio is fantastic and everything is easy to use.
Good product and simple to use - only downside is volume is lower than my previous one with speakers in same position
The sound on this intercom is clear and far better than the Sena that I have on another helmet.
High quality, easy to use intercom, even for an old pedant like myself!
This is supplied with both a wired mic, and a boom mic.
This does indeed have a lithium battery.
We can confirm that the Cardo Edge would be compatible.
We can confirm that the Cardo MESH / DMC is only compatible with Cardo devices, unfortunately. However, this device will connect with any Bluetooth headset of any brand, rider to pillion for example.
