You can actually hear the music !
15 Jun 2026 by Darren R
I almost never write reviews or respond to emails asking me too. However, I have had several various brands of helmets systems over the years, none of which have performed very well in the sound of department once you're over 45 to 50 mph. I've just got back from a weekend trip and can report that the Neo beats all of them hands down for Sound quality, I have an HJC RPHA91 Flip up helmet and with this product can hear music and intercom chat clearly up to 70 mph, it's still usable higher than that obviously depending on your helmet and wind noise situation but I'm on a Desert X which isn't exactly noise free at the speeds. The only real downside which is tiny in comparison to the Neo actually working as an intercom and music player on the move but could be improved by Cardo... I find the buttons on the unit difficult to press when on the bike they're a bit stiff and hard to find in my experience. If you like me have spent years straining to hear music at over 50 mph on long motorway runs you won't be disappointed with this product.

Great sound and easy setup
17 Apr 2026 by Chris
Upgraded to this from a Sena SF2 and the difference is immediately noticeable. The audio quality is significantly better – much clearer at speed and far richer overall, whether it’s music, navigation or calls.
The mesh connectivity is also a big step up, much more stable and effortless compared to the older Bluetooth setup I was used to.
I had this fitted in-store at SportsBikeShop Leeds when I purchased my new helmet, and the whole process was spot on. The team installed it as part of the bundle, set everything up properly, and made sure it was working before I left – which made the upgrade completely hassle-free.

The Cardo Packtalk Neo stands out for its reliable
16 Apr 2026 by Chris T
Bought this for regular rides and the odd group run, and it’s been spot on so far.
Pros:
Mesh system is excellent – connects quickly and stays stable, even when riders drop in and out
Sound quality is very good – JBL speakers are clear at speed, even with earplugs in
Battery life – easily lasts a full day’s riding
Voice control – “Hey Cardo” works well most of the time and is handy on the move
Waterproofing – used in the rain with no issues
Cons:
Slightly bulky on the side of the helmet
Install can be fiddly depending on helmet setup
Voice commands can struggle a bit at higher speeds
Pairing with non-Cardo units can take some patience
Overall:
Really solid bit of kit. The mesh intercom is the main reason to buy it and it works exactly as you’d want. Audio is clear, battery is reliable, and once it’s set up, it just does its job.
Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

Good product

Great and clear sound. Not easiest to get it to sync with iPhone though: keep getting duplicate bluetooth mapping which messes up the verbal commands option

Cracking little unit, simple to use, great sound quality for music. App is easy to navigate too
It also helped that the guys from the Preston store fitted it for free into my new lid.

Works well but a bit of a faff to set up with othe
13 Mar 2026 by Dan H
I love the quality and wind noise elimination when listening to music/ podcasts/ other riders. To pair with other riders, it can be a bit of a faff but when it's done it seems to automatically pair each time you turn the intercoms on.

Fast, responsive and good quality
19 Feb 2026 by Andrew
I run a tree surgery business and have all my guys using these. The number of useful features they have is fantastic, and the app is really useful for controlling everything from mic sensetivity, individual volumes for different channels etc. My two gripes with it are 1. A unit will regulrly glitch out and the mic stops working until it's restarted, and 2. I wish they were a bit better at identifying what's an engine noise and what's a human voice, and cutting the former out. I know they're designed for motorbike, but I'm surprised that they don't cut out woodchipper noise and, very often, chainsaw noise. It's not pleasant getting your ears blasted by loud mechanical noise and I'm sure Cardo are of the caliber to be able to do better on that front.
Otherwise, very impressed and will be sticking with these headsets from now on

Feature packed cardo
24 Oct 2025 by Arek
Upgraded from the spirit HD and was blown away by the amount of features it has for being the cheapest packtalk series. Only issue with cardos being that the aux can move around and have a crackling sound which is fixed by placing it somewhere where your head wont push against it.

Good kit, set up is a big faff
15 Jul 2025 by Louis
So when all set up and working, yes good piece of kit but the negatives have left me recommending to anyone - perhaps try something else.
1. Voice activation - no instructions to tell UK users that you need to re-install the English UK pack rather than the pre-set English US. If I didn’t spend a long time emailing Cardo I would have been none the wiser
2. Install. It’s messy, I don’t like the mic and the audio connectors and how they’ve positioned them on the loom. This means you are really, really limited on how to fit the loom inside your helmet without a plug stabbing you in the head. This is a pain and I’m still not happy with it.
3. Sound, the sound is rubbish absolutely rubbish. I only brought this to make a few phone calls and listen to music and the EQ is all tinny. I turned it off after a hour into the ride. If I could actually adjust the EQ levels in the app then it might be bearable.
4. The app - made for people with roughly two brain cells. Now I’m not a grumpy ex-sena owner but I have been shown how that app works and it just does so much more in terms of settings and functionality.
Would I recommend? Nope. Don’t bother with any of the Cardo line up. Nearly brought a Sena but was swayed by the fact the Cardo was actually IP rated.
