Hardened disc lock with double locking system
DetailsVerified Customer Reviews for Oxford Monster Disc Lock
Customers generally find the lock to be solid, well-built, and effective as a deterrent. Many appreciate its sturdy design and portability, mentioning that it fits various bike models with ease. However, there are some criticisms, such as the locking mechanism being a bit simple and the key fitting being restricted in direction. Customers noted the lack of an included reminder cable and carrying pouch. Despite these drawbacks, the lock is valued for its robustness and perceived reliability in preventing theft.
Does the job and looks well made.
Bright deterrent to make them (thieves) think twice, probably not the strongest but still hopefully makes them move on. Easy to transport, fits in tankbags, rucksacks, panniers and quick to attach/remove (with the key!) when out and about.
Solid, secure lock. Should make casual thief think twice. Gave my original to my daughter then bought the same again for myself. My 'old' one came with a handy pouch which this doesn't which is a bit disappointing. Diddled myself there! Great lock nonetheless.
Secure disc lock, I have the yellow colour. Stand out security prevention.
Easy to use and the fact the bar gets tucked away in the operation means someone can't get a disc cutter to it.
Fits over the front brake on my R1300 GS.
Good value and visual deterrent. As a second out and about lock it’s ok.
Easily carried, good, solid secure lock.
Great lock its light and easy to take with you, rather than a heavy chain. its a deterrent and hopefully it will do its job
I have this lock in yellow for a visual deterrent. It is easy to fit, and the long, shrouded shackle means it has fitted every bike I've tried, which is sometimes a problem with thicker, shorter shackles, and is small enough to fit under my seat or fit in a tank bag without taking too much space. I've bought a few of these over the years and they are all still working, although they can get a little rusty inside if they get left in the wet.
Good enough for a short stop, but I usually use it in combination with other locks if I will be leaving the bike unattended for a while.
I bought the bright yellow one for a more visible deterrent as well as size of lock. For people that make there living from stealing your pride and joy a disc lock or chain is just an inconvenience but you have to try. I put a apple air tag duck taped under seat as well which worked when my quad got stolen.
Great lock with a good weight to it. It will provide an excellent deterrent. Reasonably priced.
Can't comment on the durability of this thing but it does the job well, easy to attach to your discs and easy to remove
Good balance between size, weight and security. Easy to fit and gives peace of mind.
This lock is solid and feels very robust! Fits nicely onto the disc and although it isn't tested, and hope it never is, but reckon it would take some work to get through! Got the bright yellow to make it stand out some more and hopefully deter wannabe criminals!
It looks the part and feels sturdy! Hopefully I wont need to use it but it looks like It'll hold up for a while.
Great to use with the new heavier chain for Gold Standard protection in deterring thieves. A great choose with Oxford heavier chain.
Looks like a strong and heavy lock at a good price. This is the second one that I have bought.
